VII: Hell's Well

Ryujin's POV

"You're awake," i said. She's rubbing her eyes on her way towards me.

Cute Yeddeong.

"How did you sleep baby?" i asked her.

She didn't give me an answer. Instead she pouted and sat on the counter. She held my hand as she pulled me closer to her, resting her head on my shoulder.

"I feel tired from last night," she said making me chuckle.

"If i don't have an early schedule I'd give you morning sex--"

She glared at me. Is she pulling her devil card? I was joking...

I gave her a soft kiss on the lips. She didn't want to let go and that made me smile in between our kiss.

I'm happy that she's back here with me.

"Ryuddaeng, is your body okay?" she then asked me.

I'm getting ready to go to work and she's just here watching me. She said she'd be staying at my house today.

"Yes," i answered.

She walked towards me, staring with those feline eyes she has.

"Yeddeong-" i sighed. I wasn't lying to her. I really haven't felt anything like before and there are no black strands on my chest either.

"I'm okay." i cupped her face.

She let out a sigh and went back to the sofa. I guess she's going to laze all day waiting for me.

"RJ, where's Yeji?"

My eyes widened but immediately frowned upon hearing Winter's question.

"What?"

"What do you mean, what? She'd go with us to the beach tomorrow right?"

What the hell? Don't tell me they remember Yeji as well?

"Y-you know Yeji?" i can't help but to get freaked out since i haven't told them anything yet.

"Of course? Your girlfriend? Soyeon something's wrong with Ryu--" she called for Soyeon.

I frowned, looking down and thinking about what could've happened. Is it because i got to remember Yeji fully without any curses or spells? Does that mean--

"Lia, where's Yuna?" i asked. I wanted to check if my theory is correct.

"Oh she said she'd be going somewhere today," Lia answered with a warm smile.

Then I'm right. I haven't seen Yuna though. Ah fuck, i should've ask Yeji earlier.

Afternoon came and it's time for me to go home. Lia will take me home like we always do. We're both quiet in the car till she spoke,

"You know i liked you right?"

"Uuhm..."

She chuckled. "No no--i just want to clear this between us, Ryu."

I just remained quiet listening to her talk. The two years i spent without Yeji is still on my memories but i guess it's not in Lia's or to any of our friends. It's like we had a reset. Another one.

"I mean, we did have something before but we were both afraid to risk it all." she chuckled and I couldn't help but to do it as well.

"I just want to say that there are no more romantic feelings and I'm glad you're my best friend...And I'm really happy that you found Yeji."

"I was really afraid of you having the contract with her, I'm glad nothing bad happened."

No, lots of bad things already happened. You don't remember, fortunately.

"So yeah, stay strong you two!" she happily said making me laugh.

I was also glad we finally got to talk about that. We reached my house and she decided to go in and greet Yeji. Yeji was surprised that Lia remembers her as she gave me a confused look. I shrugged my shoulders and went to the kitchen. I left them to talk.

Minutes have passed with just the utensils used, and them talking are the only thing heard in the house. Not until a strong wind force opened the window and revealed a panting Yuna.

"Yeji unnie!" she shouted angrily and lunged towards her unnie.

Yeji easily stopped her as expected.

"How could you do that to me?!" she exclaimed with her eyes-teary.

"I-i'm sorry--"

"You should've told me you'd stay here. I wouldn't stop you I'D BE WITH YOU--"

"Oh," Yeji was surprised with Yuna's statement. "I'm sorry..."

The young demon cried in front of Yeji. She was left alone in hell. Oh damn, that scares me. I approached the three and when Yuna met my eyes, she ran to me right away to give me a hug.

"Shin Ryujin unnie!!"

I caressed her back while laughing because of her cuteness. Lia also joined our hug.

"Ryujin unnie...how can you not let Chaer unnie inside you house?"

That's when it hit me. My guardian angel. How could you forget her Shin Ryujin? I glanced outside the window and found Chaeryeong giggling as she was watching us from outside. She flew inside and gave me a hug. I'm still captivated everytime i see their wings.

"Yuna, how did you managed to go here though? It's not full moon yet," Yeji asked.

"I'm not sure either but i think since you're here, the energy is enough for a portal," she explained.

"How is it down there?"

Oh right, she's Hell's ruler.

"Oh, Hell's well hehe~" Yuna cutely answered. Yeji just shook her head while smiling.

"Yeddeong, you'll leave again?" i asked causing silence inside the room.

We just stared at each other till she looked away. So she will--

"Ryujin..."

I stopped walking away when she called and held my hand.

"I don't know when and how--but i promise you if i ever do, I'll come back to you." she said. I sighed.

"Don't leave without saying goodbye okay?" i pleaded.

Everyone felt us two as they went closer to us. Lia tapped my back as i embraced Yeji tight.

"Chaeryeong? Let's talk about what you said to me last time," Yeji said in between. Chaer just nodded.

Is it about Yeji going back to hell? We, mortals aren't allowed to know about it. That's unfortunate but as long as Yeji is still here then I'm contented. I just hope it's not her sacrificing again for the sake of me.
