"You're joking, right Takemichi? This can't be true."
"It's not a joke, Y/N. You need to stay away from him, for your own good." Takemichi spoke. "Just look at me, I didn't listen to Naoto and these are the consequences."
"No but, a criminal organization? That's too much, and he doesn't look like a criminal. Officer Tachibana, why don't you just capture them if they're so dangerous? Isn't that your job?" he laughs.
"I've been trying, but they're hard to deal with, it's not just like that" Naoto explained.
"I can't believe i've been so close to those criminals, i'm so scared now." you said.
"You're close to them?" Naoto asked.
"Well, not really, he was at my parents' company few weeks ago and we had a little fight, he even said 'How do you want to die?' and I thought he was joking."
"He did that with me many years ago" Takemichi said with a sad look on his face. "We used to be good friends, you know? I did a lot for him, and he did a lot for me. He promised to protect us, his friends, but he gave up his happiness for that, for us."
"What do you mean 'save us'? Were you guys in danger?" you asked.
"Yes. I even time leaped to save him, and my girlfriend, and all of us, but I failed."
"Excuse me? Time leaped? Haha, you're funny Takemichi" you laughed but he was dead serious. "You're not serious, right?"
"I am. I don't even know why am I telling you this, I guess i'm just tired, but yeah, that's the truth." he confessed. Naoto was just standing straight, not saying a word.
"He's joking, right Officer?"
Silence.
"There's no way, i'll be calling the nurse, you're delirious, Takemichi. Do you feel good?" you asked worried, still not taking serious any of his words. He nodded. "Well, I gotta go, I hope you recover soon, Takemichi. Nice to meet you, Officer Tachibana." You bowed, leaving the room behind.
Bonten. He's the leader of a criminal organization, he's a criminal. Did he kill someone already? Of course he did, he literally shoot his friend. Why, Manjiro? That'd explain why he's so cold, he's a damn murder, it makes so much sense now but, what kind of business does he has with your parents?
Arriving home you noticed nobody was there, you wanted to question your parents about Bonten but you knew they wouldn't tell you anything. After taking a shower you went to bed and fell asleep. There's no way you will be able to work and study at the same time, your parents are out of their minds if they think you can do that.
