You often met Sano in the hall, apparently he had important meetings with your parents about their "business". Bullshit. He was always with Kokonoi, you even thought they were a couple, they even got the same tattoo, maybe it was matching, but you discarded the idea because Sano felt so lost, always. You didn't think he was emotionally available to be in a relationship, and Kokonoi didn't seem that interested.

Suddenly, Sano stopped going. 'Maybe they've had enough and didn't need to meet anymore' you thought. It was weird, because it was almost a routine to see him every day, even if he always had that shitty expression on his face, even if he never talked to you, or looked at you. It was nice.

The day went as usual, papers, calls from your parents, papers, papers and more papers. Sometimes you even had to get coffee to the managers. Why were you doing that instead of living your life going to the beach? Instead of spending your vacations traveling around the world and visiting exotic places? You got the money, but not the time, not the friends and definitely not your parents permission. You were an adult now, right, but you were still living under your parents roof, you didn't earn your own money, so you had to do as they say or they'll cut the money they give you. Money isn't everything in life. Is it important? Yes, but sometimes you only wanted to go home and have someone waiting for you, ready to talk about how your day went. 'Guess that's not going to happen'.

After finishing your turn, you took your things and drove back home. The night was beautiful, it was so peaceful. You wish you could spend your entire life like this, you alone with the music on the radio and a warming breeze.

You went straight to the jacuzzi and stayed there for hours, singing like you were in your peak of fame. When you were a little girl you enjoyed singing with your grandmother, she told you to never give up, that you were talented. She died three years ago, and since that moment you never experienced love again. Not from your parents or anyone else. Keiko was lovely, and you loved her, but it was different, you wanted to feel loved by people who raised you.

"Stupid thoughts go away" you said.

When you got out it was already late, you were hungry, but you didn't want normal food, instead you wanted something sweet. You grabbed your phone and got out of the house. Headed to your favorite bakery, you decided to walk since it wasn't far from your home.

"Hey, Koru" you greeted. "Still working this late?"

"Hi, Y/N. As you can see, i'm suffering, but at least I got to see you, so I guess not everything sucks about it." she laughed. "What can I get for you?"

"The usual, pumpkin pie" you grinned. "The whole pie, actually" you said when you saw her cutting a single slice.

"Oh, are you coping or something?"

"Kinda."

"Alright, here you go." she gave you the cake and you paid for it. "Hope it helps"

"Thanks, Koru. Take care, and be careful on your way back home." you grinned getting out of the store.
