I wrote this chapter before the character book came out, and I didn't know that Kakucho was actually a good cook, I guess he just gives off the vibe.

"Mikey, eat."

"No."

"I said eat." Mikey shook his head. "Why not?"

"There's no flag in my meal." He pouted.

"What are you? A kid? Come on, eat." You tried to shove the food into his mouth like a kid but he turned his head to the side. "This isn't Mcdonald's, if you wanted to go somewhere else you could've told me, Mikey."

"You wouldn't mind?"

"Why would I?" Mikey stood up quickly, grabbing your hand and running towards the exit.

"Where are you going? You still have to pay for what you ordered." A guard of the restaurant said stopping you both. Mikey walked towards him and he whispered something in his ear, this caused the guard to move immediately.

Mikey drove towards the closest McDonald's, when you were there he ordered a Happy Meal with a flag on the burger, he told you to order whatever you wanted, that he will be paying.

You didn't like to eat junk food in front of people, it triggered you since people used to make fun of you when you were younger, because back then you were a little overweight. It caused you trauma, so you decided to change. You knew that Mikey wasn't the type of person that would judge you, or so you thought.

"You look dumb, order something else. Who orders a salad in McDonald's? I guess you're crazier than me." He chuckled. "If you're in a kind of diet, forget about it for today." He pouted.

"Ugh, where's the Mikey that I met? This boy is too sweet to be my Mikey." His eyes and your eyes widened when you realized that you just said.

"Your Mikey?" He furrowed.

"I didn't m-"

"I like it. Your Mikey." He said taking a bite of his burger. He ate like a kid even, his mouth was dirty, so you took a napkin to help him clean his mouth. What you didn't notice was how close you were from each other. Your eyes locked with his, and he smirked. "I definitely like it."

You were blushing, being so close to him, it felt magical.

"I guess I like it too." You smiled. "Mikey, I wanna get to know you, I wanna make you happy again, not the emotionless guy that you are."

"I don't know what happiness is anymore, but I do know that you make me feel different, I can't tell what it is, but I wanna protect you from everyone."

"You don't have to, as long as I'm with you, I'm safe." Little did you know that being with him meant the total opposite thing.

Mikey sacrificed his happiness to give his friends a happy life, they meant everything for him that he never thought of anything else. He knew the only way to protect them was being as far from them as possible, and that's what he did. He thought he didn't deserve to be happy, that he was always the problem, but since he met you, that changed. He found another reason to live, to smile, another motivation, the motivation he had lost.

"I wish it was like that."

After eating, he took you back home. The Bonten hideout. This time, you both had some company. Kakucho was in the kitchen, along with Rindou and Ran, they seemed to get along well.

"Look who's here." Kakucho said. "It's been a while, drunkie." He laughed.

"Huh? Oh, that, yeah I'm sorry for that scene." You laughed.
