The golden egg

Today is the last day of your 6th year of Hogwarts. You haven't made many friends this year...well the last year either...But you still had some friends, only 5 friends actually...

The only people you ever talked to were Harmione, Harry, Ron, Luna and Neville. They were quite nice to you, except for the times when they would exclude you from their favorite activities... I mean, they thought you were always studying because you would stay in your room a lot but in reality you were just really shy and had no idea how to socialize with people your age. It wasn't your fault really... Growing up, you didn't spend time with many people your age, actually you never spent time with people your age. You were homeschooled and lived in a small cottage home with your dad and step-mom. Your mom died when you were born. Everyone always tells you look just like her even tho you never really saw a photo of her. Your dad never wanted to talk about it and always kept it a secret. Your father had a flower shop so you'd always have flowers in your home. Dandelions, roses, tulips and your favorite, narcissuses. (you see the conection :) heh). Since you spent most of your days alone, or with your teacher, you learned to live alone without other people in your life. You became isolated and lonely. 

Eventually one day your first day of school came. HOGWARTS! At first to you it sounded like heaven on Earth because you thought you'd make many, many friends. You thought others were just like you and they had no friends before either but it wasn't true unfortunately. First few days was really though for you since you didn't have any friends at all. You cried yourdelf to sleep every night and missed classes in the morning because you wouldn't get any sleep at night. One day the sweetest weird girl came up to you and aske you to be her friend. It was Luna. She was quite similar to you, just a bit more weird and she at least had friends. Luna introduced you to the rest of the group and then you finally had friends. Time passed rather slowly for you but finally you were finishing your 6th year at Hogwarts. 

Professor Dumbledore invited all the 6th year students to the lobby. Everyone was already sitting on their seats but you and Luna were late. Luna was lookin for her pet and you were helping her. Luckily for you, she had given up looking for it and you weren't that late. Luna was running down the stairs in front of you and she was holding your hand but on the last stair you accidently bumped into Draco Malfoy, the bully of the school. 

"Ohh I'm so sorry, I didn't see you"- you were bpth on the floor at the moment and Draco's fiend was pulling him up. "Watch where you're going you stupid freak!"- he screamed at you and walked in the lobby. Luna helped you get up "It's okay y/n."- she comforted you but the tears had already formed in your eyes. You were really sensitive and you knew that he's mean comment is going to ruin your whole holiday. 

You walked in the hallway and sit next to Harry. Harry always had a crush on you but you never really liked him that way. You never really liked any guy that way but always felt better connection with girls...anyways you never really thought about this. 

"Y/n are you okay? Did something happen?"- Harry asked you after he saw the tears in your eyes. It only made you want to cry more "Oh Harry, please don't..."- you wiped your face with your sleeve and turned around. Professor Dumbledore started talking and Harry had to stop talking to you. Everyone was listening to what professor had to say and you glanced at Draco who was sitting at the other table. He was looking at you but this time with a sad face. You immediately looked somewhere else. 

"Dear students, witches and wizards, for today I have a big task for you. I know this is the end of your 6th year and in just a year from now you will finish school and become real wizards and witches. Todays task, I'm afraid won't make everyone happy but we have to do it. All of you will be given a random partner with whom you have to keep an egg during summer holidays." Everyone including you was staring at him not understanding a thing. "Well, well, let's start. When I call you name come up here and wait for your partner to join you and you will be given an egg. Egg will hatch at the end of summer holidays if you find out what was the purpose of pairing you two together. Perhaps you will become very good friends, perhaps hehe.." -Professor giggled uncomfortably and nobody was happy about what was happening. 

Pairs were: Neville and Luna, Harry and Ginny, Harmione and Ron, you and Draco.

After professor called you name together with Malfoys you wanted to start crying. You were hoping to get Luna or at least someone else from your friendgroup. You walked up to the professor and Draco was standing right next to you. You were afraid to look at him because you thought he will be mean to you again. Eventually the whole ceremony was done and you were leaving to go to train. You were standing with your friends and Draco was holding the egg on the other side of the train station. "Are you okay y/n?"- this time Harmione asked and everyone was automatically staring at you. "Ughh you got the Malfoy, he's such a pain in the ass."- Ron said and everyone agreed. You had no idea what to say, you were lost in your thoughts thinking what will happen now. Your whole holiday will be ruined since you have to spend it with Draco. "Y/n?"- Harry pinched you a bit and you looked at him. "I'm fine". "You don't have to spend holidays with him, come with us."- Harry said and Ron said that you could come to his house with them. "But how? I would love to come but I can't... That egg an..." "Ahh who cares about the egg, come on!"- Harry said and you agreed. 

The train arrived and you sit with them. Draco was nowhere to be seen and you were happy about it. After a couple of minutes when the train took off someone opened your "room" door and it was him, Draco. "What do you want Malfoy?!"- Harry stood up and wanted to kick him out. "I didn't come for you Pottah, I just need to talk to y/n." - he pushed Harry back to his seat and stepped in fully. "Y/n we will be staying at my parent's house so when the train stops look for me". He was quite nice now, his tone was different and his face looked calm. "She's not going with you to your crazy parents house! They're crazy, they're gonna kill her eh!" - Harry jelled at Draco and the others stepped in too. "I'm sure she can talk for herself."- Draco said and everyone went silent. You waited a couple of seconds and then "Alright, but if you're ever mean to me again I'm breaking the egg we will both fail. Okay?" - you spoke confidently for once. "Deal! See you later."- he even smiled a bit which was weird for you. "How could you?! Are you mad?!"- Harry jelled once again but this time at you. "His parents eat other wizards and witches. They have chambers under their huge manor where they keep all the victims!"- Ron continued. "STOP IT!"- Harmione screamed and everyone stopped talking. "It's okay y/n as long as you're comfortable you do whatever you want. We will support you. Right?"- she looked at Harry and Ron and they agreed. "Sorry just we're really worried for you, you know?" "Thanks guys but there's really no need to be. I'll be fine, At last I have you, right?" Everyone agreed and eventually train stopped. 

You said goodbye to your friends and went to find Draco. You spotted him easily and went up to him. Everything was fine until you saw who was standing next to him. A tall, muscular man with long blond hair like Draco's with a scary cane and in a black suit with long black cloak. Next to the man there was a beautiful woman with black and blond hair in a long black dress with green details. She was also wearing black gloves and her hair was put in a bun. They truly looked frightening at first sight. "What did I get myself into..."- you whispered as you approached them. "This is y/n and she will stay with us during holidays because we have som-" he was cut of by the man "Let's go home now. I'm sure we can meet better there." The woman just looked at him for a second and then looked at you. Now she looked more scared then scary. The man harshly took her hand and told you to hold someone's hand. You kinda panicked and after Draco took his dad's hand you immediately took the woman's hand. In few seconds you were standing at the gates of a huge manor. Everything was black, even the roses and the gates opened in front of you. Everyone now let go of each others hands but you were still tightly holding the woman's hand.
