Chapter 7: Human?

"Iris, who is this?"
Katy POV
I awkwardly sit on a dark green couch looking anywhere but Carlos, again, I'm very awkward and nervous whenever I'm near males.
"So you're saying that Katy here, is a human that came falling through the sky because she opened a book and she needs to get to the fairies castle to get back to earth?" Carlos says, Iris nods "yes, that is what Katy told me, right Katy?" I look at Iris who was sitting next to me, she looked kind of concerned for me, considering that I was looking anywhere but infront of me, which is where Carlos sat. "Huh!? O-oh, uhh right, yeah.." I sutter out, crap! That's embarrassing, I silently curse at myself. Iris decides to change the subject "Katy, I'm sure you've already noticed but incase you haven't then I want you to know that Carlos is actually a human just like you!" She says cheerfully, wait what?? I gathered all my courage and looked infront of me to see Carlos, he indeed was human, he had all the human features, he was looking at his hand, which had veins I could clearly see, oh my god.. that's so attractive. "oh! I hadn't realized that, uh, how did you get here, Carlos?" I quietly ask looking away again.
No POV
Carlos shifts in his seat a bit but then looks straight at Katy, whom was staring at some roses in a vase on a small table near a window. "First, don't call me Carlos. Just call me Carl, and I got here the same way you did. I found a book in my mothers room and decided to open when I was 17, and I am 22 right now." Carlos says, it seemed like he was deep in thought we he finished explaining. Katy's eyes widen, "you've been here for 4 years!? Holy shit!" Katy yells, flabbergasted. She quickly covers her mouth, she just cursed in front of two people who are older than her AND she yelled (Iris is 134 years old). "Ah.. Sorry" Katy says while taking her hand off her face. Carlos was taken out of his thoughts when Katy yelled out of no where, he sends a death glare at her which causes her to look away pretending to do something else. He's definitely annoyed Katy thought.
Carlos POV
I clear my throat while glaring at the very obnoxious girl sitting infront of me, though she reminded me of _____. I sighed before saying "You're trying to get into the fairies castle to get back to Earth, correct?" The girl looks back to me, making eye contact but quickly turns away. Am I scary to her? I thought to myself. Katy straightens her back, "uhh, yes. Do you guys think you could help me?" She says. Me and Iris make eye contact, Iris then nods her head. "Yes, me and Carlos have been trying to get into the faires castle but we always fail, Carlos is trying to get back home, just like you. I think us three plus Xavier will be a great team!" Iris says, all happy. Katy seemed a bit confused, "who's Xavier?" She asks. "Oh right! Xavier is my... partner? (as in bf and gf) He's a fairy just like me, we've been trying to help Carlos get back to Earth but we just can't get into the castle" Iris says, revealing her partner. Her and Katy begin talking while I space out. it's so annoying seeing them all lovey dovey I thought to myself.
Or, was I....
..Jealous?
