Sora and his companions have been asleep for about a year, regaining their memories. When Sora awakens, he eventually arrives in Twilight Town, the place where a mysterious boy, Roxas lived before he suddenly left.

———- Maxay is the Nobody of Maya and wields the power to use a Keyblade and manipulate the memories of Sora and those close to him.
Maxay was born a nobody when Sora became a Heartless in order to free Maya's and Kairi's heart during Kingdom Hearts. Maya's own body never became a Nobody because her heart lacked darkness (since she was one of the Princess of Heart) so her body and soul were never able to leave the Realm Of Light.
However, because of the potion Riku gave to Maya was not to love potion he expected this gave a little opening of darkness into Maya's heart. Though the pure heart Maya possesses manages to vanquished that darkness within her.
This made Maxay a very strange Nobody, born from Maya's heart and Sora's body and soul.
Personality
Maxay was born without memories and without the knowledge that she had emotions, due to the unusual nature of her birth. Because of this, she had no basis of any acting upon her birth. She simply followed the orders of whoever was close to her because it was the only obvious guidance she had, effectively making her very quiet, strong willed, pragmatic, serious, peaceful, forgiving and generous in personality. The complete opposite of Maya. This led to her discovery of her ability to feel.
Like Roxas, and Naminé, Maxay seems to possess true emotions, being a special and unusual Nobody. While most Nobodies pretend to have emotions by acting on the memories of their past lives in order to react to a specific situation, Roxas, Naminé and Maxay had no memories of their past lives, and thus had no basis for any acting.
Physical Appearance
As the Nobody of Maya, Maxay bears a strong resemblance to her, though, like with Roxas and Sora, this resemblance is a bit more subdued than most as Maxay has long mid back dark purple hair. Maxay still shares Maya's face, blue eyes, and general body structure.
Maxay remains virtually unchanged from her appearance in Chain of memories to Kingdom Hearts 2. In Chain of memories she is wearing her Organization cloak while in Kingdom Hearts 2 she is wearing a purple dress over a black long sleeve shirt with black leggings to represent her well mannered personality.
