After The Battle: We're Home!

Normal P.O.V

Once Sora and Riku passed their way through the light that appeared from their Wayfinder charms, they stumbled in the Realm Of Darkness.

" End of the road." Riku said seeing the strange beach ahead.
"Yup!" Sora nods.
" Put me down. I can walk." Riku assured his best friend.
Sora hesitated but slowly tries to set Riku down. As he did Riku almost falls over but he quickly gained his balance. Riku smiled at Sora to show he was okay.
Sora nods. He then makes his way to the shore.

" You know... maybe the darkness has gotten to me too." Sora said starring out into the ocean.

His head snapped over back to Riku once he heard a thud. "Riku!" He rushes to him who had fallen to the ground.

Riku stood on his knees. " This world is perfect for me. If this is what the world really is—- just this— then maybe I should fade back into darkness." Riku thought.

"Riku!" Sora frowns.

"If the world is made up of light and darkness... we'll be the darkness." Riku suggested singer there was no way back home for them.

Sora sat down next to him. "Yeah. The other side... the realm of light is safe now. Maya, Kairi, The King and the others are there." He knows now there wasn't need to worried for them if they were to be stuck here.

Of course there was a part of him that wanted to go home. To see her. To be with her again. If he were to be stuck here, the only thing he'd regret is not telling the girl that means the work to him, his true feelings of affection for her.

" That's what I mean." Riku said. " Hey, Sora... Could you help me? I want to get down to the water."
Sora nods getting up to help his injured friend.

" At least the waves sound the same." Riku mutters smiling to himself, hearing the waves from the ocean.

Sora placed Riku down when they reached the shore. " What I said back there. About thinking I was better at stuff than you..." Riku brought up their previous conversation back. Sora hums letting him know that he was listening.
" To tell you the truth, Sora... I was jealous of you." Riku confessed. He wasn't sure why he was telling his long time rival this. Maybe since they're both here he might as well be honest till the end.
" What for?" Sora raised an eyebrow.
" I wish I could live life the way you do. Just following my heart. " Riku didn't know why it was hard for him to do so.
" Yea, we'll I got my share of problems too." Sora told him.
"Like what?" Riku asked.
"Like... wanting to be like you." Sora said his reasons.

Riku chuckles. " Well, there is one advantage to being me...something you could never imitate."
Sora looks over at him. " Really? What's that?" He asked curious.
"Having you for a friend." Riku said.
Sora smiled as he watched the ocean again. "Then I guess... I'm okay the way I am. I've got something you could never imitate too."

They don't know how long they've been there for, but both Keyblade wilders stayed near the shore letting the small wind passed them by.

While Riku was enjoying the breeze, he felt something brushed up against his foot. He looks down and picks up a bottle. He noticed there was a piece of paper inside it. Being curious he takes the paper out and starts reading it. He chuckles when his eyes landed the name that signed it.
" Sora. I Think it's for you." Riku handed the letter over to the spiky brunette.

Sora took it and began to read it. " Thinking if you, wherever you are. We pray for our sparrows to end. And hope that our hearts will blend. Now I will step forward to realize this wish."

Maya: And who knows: Starting a new journey may not be so hard or maybe it's already begun. There are many worlds. But they share the same sky—- one sky, one destiny.

Once Sora read the last line a bright light appeared in-front of them. The same time their Wayfinder charms began to glow again.  They both took them out. "Light." Riku mutters.

"The door to light..." Sora said standing up. "We'll go together."  He held out the hand with his and Maya's charms to Riku. This was their chance to head home.

Riku smiled. " Yeah." He said taking Sora's hand with the same hand Riku held his own charm.

Standing up the two make their way to the door of light.

Passing their way through the door of light, Sora and Riku had fallen into the middle of the ocean, like shooting stars. When they emerged from the water they both looked around to see where exactly they where.

"Sora! Riku!"

They popped their heads over hearing that familiar female voice. Sora smiled brightly as his eyes landed to Maya, who waved to both of them at the shore of Destiny Islands. Kairi stood next to her.

Sora and Riku started to swim their way over to them.  Sora kept his smile seeing Maya with hers. A huge wave of relief washes over knowing her best friends are safe.

Maya was about to meet them towards the water but stopped when Mickey, Donald, and Goofy rushed over to them first.

Donald and Goofy jumped on top of Sora making him fall back on the water. Mickey made his way over to Riku. When the mage and the knight let Sora sit up, they both engulfed him in another hug.

Riku and Mickey laughed seeing the three together.

Sora turns back to smile at Maya. She giggles. The Keyblade wielder went into his pocket to pull out Maya's wayfinder. She smiles brightly doing her best to hold back her tears that wanted to fall. This whole time she thought she lost it but it's been with him all along.

As Sora lifts his head up, a glimpse vision of Roxas was shown. When turned Maya, Maxay appeared smiling too. To Maya was Kairi and Namine too appeared. Everyone in their own way are  together again.

Sora brushed his eye with back of his hand. "We're back!" He smiled trying not to strutter. Maya chuckles as she held out her hand to him letting a tear fall from the corner of her eye not carrying her friends saw.

"We're home!"

Sora locked his hand with hers having the Wayfinder charm in between their closed hands.

Yes.... They were finally home!!
