A Message From The King

Sora's P.O.V

After the long awaited battle has ended and reunited with everyone again, The King, Donald and Goofy didn't take long for them to head back to their own world.

Being back on the island while Maya and the others were catching up with everyone, I made my way over to the secret cave.

Entering the cave, I glanced at all the drawings we did as kids.

My eyes quickly landed on a special fasting Maya and I did. We drew each other on to the rock. I smiled as my fingers traced over the paopu fruit that was drawn over to my face. I chuckled. Did Maya drew that? It matched with the one I drew for her.

"Hey! There you are!"

Maya's voice startled me as she comes into the cave. "What's up?" I asked standing up from the drawing.

" We're gonna head into town and find that ice cream flavor Donald kept raving to me about. Riku's paying, since he owes me. Wanna tag along?" She says excitingly.

I chuckled. Of course that's the first thing she'd be craving for when we get back. "Well, duh. Definitely if Riku's buying."

She fist bumps in the air. " Sweet! Let's go!"

I made my hand into a fist. "Wait! Maya!" I called out to her. She stops turning back to face me.

"Yeah?" She asked.

C'mon, Sora!! Man up! She's right here. Snapping out of my thoughts I step forward to her.

"Hmm?" Maya blinks at me confused.

When I got close enough close the distance between us, I placed both my hands on her arms. "Maya!"

It's now or never. I'm holding on to her and I can't bring myself to say it. It be easier if my heart wasn't acting so crazy right now.
"Sora? What are you doing?" Maya asked nervously.

Without realizing what I was doing I didn't know I already my lips touching hers.

I felt her hesitate for a moment she deepens it. It was pretty good damn kiss. After a few minutes we let it go and stared into each other's eyes.

"B-b-ut I though you— Don't you---" Her face seemed so lost. 

I cupped her face cutting her off knowing what she was going to say. 
"I've already talked it out with Kairi. It's always been you, Mais. It always has been." I told her my true feelings. Since the first day I saw her washed up on the shore and when I took her to my parents. I somehow just knew.   

She chokes up a sob and I notice a tear falling. She went in to hug me. " You idiot! Why.... why did you waited to so long?" 

I held her tighter. I know.   " I never told you because I thought you like Riku. But losing you made me realize, just how much you mean to me and I never want to let you go again! I like you Maya. I like you, like you." A wave of relief washed over me finally letting it out. Even though her answer isn't the same, I just glad I was able to tell her. 

Maya shut her eyes as she nuggets her face into my chest.  " I... I always liked you too!!! I wanted to tell you for so long but...I just.... didn't know how. I didn't even know what I was feeling." 

I smiled when she pulls away. I wiped away the tears that fell from the corners of her eyes with my thumbs.  " Maya.... I'm sorry I made you wait so long." 

She chuckles through her sobs. " Yeah, you sure did."

I brushed off her sarcasticness and didn't think twice before having my lips touch hers again. "So, is Riku still gonna be buying Ice cream or are you?" She asked when we had our foreheads against each others. 

I forgot how much this girl likes to eat. " I'll buy you some next time. We gotta take Riku's advantage before I go broke because of you." I said brushing some of her strains from her face away. 

" Well, come on! He's waiting outside." Maya said grabbing my hand as she drags me in a run. 

" Maya!" I struggled to keep up with her pace. ' 

I stared at our intertwined hands. 

Together....Always!

Maya's P.O.V

I dragged Sora over to where Riku sat on the paopu fruit tree. Sora lifts me up and places me on the tree branch as he lays his back against it. Riku handed us the Sea Salt Ice cream. It felt really good to be back home. 

" Nothing's changed, huh?" Riku asked staring aimlessly into the distance.  

" Nope. Nothing will." Sora said. I don't think it should change. Destiny Islands just fine on it's own to me or else it wouldn't be home. 

Riku chuckles. " What a small world."

" But part of one that's much bigger." Sora mentioned. 

I giggled. "Ain't that one for sure." I took a bit out of the ice cream. Man, this stuff is good. Donald is right. 

" Yeah." Riku smiles. 

" Hey Riku... what do thin it was--- the door to light?" Sora suddenly asked him. I lifted my eyebrow wondering what they where talking about. 

Riku chuckles as he jumps of the branch.  He points to Sora's chest. " This." 

Sora places his hand over it. " This?" 

" Yeah. It's always closer than you think." Riku said. Sora smiled. 

" You two dingus's  wanna fill me in?" I questioned them that I was still here. 

" Wouldn't you like to know." Riku teased. 

I glared at him. " Aw, c'mon! I wanna know!" I whined. " Sora!" I pout to the brunette. 

He folded his hands behind his head. " Just eat your ice cream before it melts." 

I groan. Why are they keeping it a secret? 

" Sora! Maya! Riku!" Kairi comes rushing over to us.

" Hey, what's up?" Sora asked.

Once she catches her breath, she showed us a bottle that had a letter inside. " Look!" 

" From the King?" Sora didn't' hesitate to taking the bottle from her.  The bottle had  Mickey's seal.  Mickey's already sending us a message? 

We huddle around him to see what it says.

A/N: Hey guys, just wanted to say thank so much for reading my stories. I can't believe I'm already done with KH2. This was a surprise chapter. Yes, I decided for Sora and Maya to confess their feelings in this game. I did thought about having them be together in KH3 but Kh2 is my favorite from the serious my own person opinion. Don't get me wrong I love KH3 it's top #4 on my list.  But to me it only felt right for it to happen for kh2. 

I do apologize if I didn't do the confession scene justice. For some reason I have a hard time typing what I envision in my head. I might come back to edit the scene if I get more ideas. 

I'm super excited to start working on 358/2 days. It's going to be going back in forth with Maxay's P.O.V and Roxas's P.O.V. I have decided on who's gonna be Maxay's love interest.  

I'll let you all know when the next book is up. I'm currently working the character introductions.
