Almost a week went by without hearing or seeing from those weirdo's from the Cemetery. I was now staying at Heather's house, right down the street from the school. And if I ever needed to get back into my parents house, I knew their drinking schedule. And Jace...he offers to drive me home almost everyday, but I don't want to get him involved in my horrible life. Its would be better if he was just a friend.
"Are you kidding me?! They boy practically loves you already, and you can't let him drive you home?!" Heather shouted as we got into her car. She drives a buggy so its not comfy cozzy.
"Heather, I don't want to get him involved in this shit. He has a regular life, and it should stay like that!" I said watching the kids get out of school. We started off down the road. I normally don't watch cars through the rearview mirror, but today I happened to see a pitch black truck following us to Heather's house.
"Heather, turn left." I said still watching the car behind me.
"What?!" She questioned but I reached across and put her blinker on and sure enough, the truck behind us did the same. We turned left up the hill, and kept going straight.
"Heather just drive around, don't drive home." I said to her, grabbing out my phone and dialling the only person who would run them off the road, if we needed them to.
"Look who finally decided to call me, need a ride after all?" Jace sounded so high and mighty, but little did he know this was no joke.
"Jace, Heather and I are being followed, I think it's the people from the cemetery." I said breathless into the phone. I heard him swear quietly under his breath, and the jingling of keys.
"where are you guys?" He asked, I looked around trying to find a street sign, but there were none in site.
"I'm not sure but I think we are close to the mall, meet us there?" I asked, sounding pretty nervous, and I was, but could you blame me, it's not everyday you get chased by bad guys! Suddenly I heard screeching of tires, and someone speeding, I giggled, "But don't kill yourself in the process!"
"I'll try not to, god Montgomery you sure are some kind of wonderful.." I heard him laugh out the other end. I hung up, and we continued to the mall.

We turned to corner speeding though the mall parking lot to try and lose them. They were fast on out tail, but got stuck behind a box truck. So we parked and hauled ass into the mall, to try and find Jace. But sure enough, there he was leaning against the wall talking to some girl, who was twirling her hair.
"Excuse me!" I said butting into their conversation, and grabbing his arm, and walking away. He mumbled something, but I was too busy looking around the mall. My eyes came in contact with the man with the yelolw eye. "They're here." I said pulling everyone into macy's and running through the department store. We were running though the children's department, that eventually lead us to the bedding.
"You know Montgomery, if you want to hide in one of these things, I'd help you!" He said pointing to the bed, smirking. I just chuckled and shoved him down the lane running towards the womens section.
"Here! Take these!" Heather said throwing me a wig, that was short and red.
"You idiot, I have red hair. I'll take the blonde one you take the red one." I said grabbing her's and throwing it on my head. I went over the the mirror to adjust my wig, and Jace comes strolling over, and bends down so his mouth is level with my ear. "You know, I've always had a think for blondes." He looked at me in the mirror, and I smirked.
"Great, becuase here is your wig." I said giving him his, a short, but crazy bleach blonde wig. He stared at it, then looked at he and shook his head. I stuck out my lip, and made the worlds best puppy dog face, "Not even for me..?" Something in his face changed, and he sighed and put the wig on.
"Whipped." Heather coughed as she came around the corner in her red wig, "Ollie you look hot as a blonde!" She said laughing.
"You look even better as a red head!" I giggled, as my fake bangs were getting in my way. We walked out of the store and headed to the food court. Heather grabbed a newspaper, and tried to hide her face, while Jace and I were trying to find the scar guy. Suddenly while we were walking, I spotted the scar guy on my left. I turned to tell Jace, noticing the women with the red coat that was with I'm last time.
They were coming from both sides and there was nothing to hid us, but people. I locked eyes with scar eye, and he smirked, and fastened his pace. I turned to Jace completely freaking out. He grabbed my hand and looked at me.
"Do you trust me?" He said looking at me seriously. I turned to look for Heather, and she was standing near a wall with the paper up to her head, waving us to come over. I looked back at Jace and went to say something but it was too late.
Everything happened so quickly I turned to look for one last escape, when I felt hands on my face, and I turned to look at Jace, before I knew it his lips were on mine, and everything seemed to stop. There was no bad guys chasing us, and we were not in the middle of a mall. The kiss was short and quick, but it felt like someone set my face on fire. As if God was helping my lips out, I heard an alarm, and little drops of water. Within seconds the whole mall was screaming, because someone had set off the fire alarm.
That someone was a short haired ginger with a newspaper.
Jace pulled away and my eyes were wide open just staring at him. From over his sholder I could see the woman in red, drenched and angry, stomping towards us. "Go!" I screamed as I ran passed Jace, and he followed. I screamed Heather's name and within seconds we were out of there.
"Where did you learn to run like that?" I said to Heather completely out of breath.
"Track!" She smiled running back to the car, "Come on, before they come outside!" She said rounding to the car. I looked up at Jace who was smiling like a child at Disney World.
"And what are you so happy about?" I said bumping into his, causing him to look down at me. He smilled, and took my hand, and we walked to the car.
"Does this mean I can finally drive you home?" He said winking.
I tried to pull my hand out of his, but it wouldn't budge. "Don't get used to it."
