The drive to the hospital was about 5 Minutes, but it felt like forever. No one was talking, and it seemed like Jace was trying to hit every bump on the road. The radio was on the lowest notch, and the passenger side window was open. Heather just kept looking down at her hand interlocked in her lap. She moves her hand a couple of times to wipe tears away, but they would go back to the exact spot.

Jace, he had one hand on the top of the steering wheel, and his other hand was on the window, tapping his fingers. It was a soothing kind of a tap, but an annoyed tap. It's 8:09 which means we missed homeroom, and we probably weren't going to school today.

"We're here." Murmered Jace as we pulled into the parking lot. He picked the closest spot to the door.

"Thank god.." I shouted, flinging myself out of the car. I started walking towards the doors as soon as i got out. Heather and Jace were a few seconds behing me. I walked towards the Emergency section of the hospital, and felt a little dizzy. I slowly walked up to the front desk while the whole room was spinning.

"May I help you.." the lady asked me, as she clicked her pen. I couldn't form any words, I just looked straight at her, holding my head. "Miss...are you ok-"

Suddenly, one by one I felt my knees give way, and I started to fall. But I didn't hit the ground. I turned around and jace was holding my back with both of his hands, with Heater right behind him, saying somehting, but I couldn't hear it.

"Someone get a doctor!" the nurse yelled, as she came around her desk, helping Jace carry me to a wheelchair. Within seconds, the nurse was pushing me down the hallway, leaving Jace and Heather in the waiting room. That was the last thing I saw before darkness took over me.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. I could hear people shuffling around my room, and hear whispering, but  I couldn't make out any particular words. It was all muffled. I tried to open my eyes, but they felt so heavy. I  tried to move my hand. Okay, I can do that, try moving your whole hand. Ow!

"does that mean she is waking up?" asked a female voice from acrossed the room. It sounded like Heather, but I couldn't tell.

"There is no telling, let he sleep, she has been through alot today." Says a man, who I don't recognize. Suddenly my bed dips and I feel someone touch my head.

"If you can hear me make a noise.." whispered Heather, softly in my ear.

"mhhhhmmmm..." I managed to make a noise, I heard a gasp, and felt someone touch my face.

"Liv, can you say words...please say a word..." pleaded heather, as she rubbed my face.

"....get.....off.....me" I manage to say as I squint from the bright lights. "Turn the lights off." My voice sounds so hoarse, I barely recognize it. Heather is still siting on my bed, and the lights turn off. I look behind her and it's Jace. He smirks at me and I look away. ''What happened?" I say sitting up, and moving Heather away from me. I look at my arm, and it is all bandaged up.

"Well, you passed out because you forgot to take your medicane today, so that was the most importnat thing, and then you had to get 15 stitches." Said Heather as she walked over to get me a glass of water. When she returned she leaned closer to me, "We also told the doctor you were skating and cut your arm on the ground. He didn't find any huge pieces of glass."

"Thank you." I said taking the water and gulping it down. When I was done, I looked over at Jace. He looked tired and worried. I wonder why, I couldn't have been out for that long.

"Ms. Montgomery! Glad to see you are feeling better!" The doctor came in and gave me a firm hand shake, "May I speak to a Family Member, so we can get ready to discharge you?" I looked at Heather and nodded at her, "She is my sister!"

"Very well, Miss?" The doctor excused himself and took Heather out to sign some papers, leaving Jace and I in the room alone. He was leaning against the sink, looking directly at me. I wish I could know what was going on in his mind.

"How long have I been out?" I ask patting the bed, as I scoot over, to allow him to sit next to me. He smirks and walks over to my bed. He sits down and looks at his watch, then back at me. He leans, causing out faces to almost touch. My breath hitches, and I could feel his minty breath on my lips.

"Well Ms. Olivia Montgomery, you have been asleep for 2 hours."

Shit.

Quickly trying to change the subject I look at my wrist. "Oh my goodness look at the time, 2 hours! We need to hurry or we will completely miss our first day of school!" I say removing the blanket exposing my bare legs. How the hell did I get in a hospital gown...

"Slow down Olivia, where is the rush.." Jace said pushing my shoulders so I couldn't remove myself from the bed, "you aren't even discharged yet!"

"But she can be right after a test!" Said the doctor as he walked in with Heather trailing behind him.
