"God I look like I'm on my way to church, I'm telling you ollie, it's like I have no skin to show." Heather said pulling at her sleeves. She was wearing a long sleeved Black lace dress, with combat boots. I was wearing a blue one very similar to it, but mine had a zipper down the back, and was a bit shorter.

"Heather knock it off, I can only meet Jace's mother once and then the impression will be on me forever." I said closing the door to my car, and heading towards the house.

"Oh, you aren't even dating yet, calm down." Heather said running after me, holding a cookie plate. She was right, we weren't but we were close to it. Jace and I have been getting closer since the whole make-out with Hello Kitty. Everything has been going nicely. No sign of those two weirdo's or Stephan, it's all too quiet.

"Relax girl, you have nothing to worry about, you're sweet, pretty, who wouldn't like you!" she said walking up the steps. I knocked on the door waiting a few seconds before I heard loud footsteps heading towards the door. The door swung open to 3 large and muscular males 1 including a breathless Jace.

"Happy Thanksgiving Ladies. Well, you must be the beautiful, Olivia! I have heard so much about you!" One said reaching forward and grabbing my hand and bringing it up to his lips, causing the other to do the same.

"Alright, alright, enough..." Jace said stepping in the middle of the two hulks and making way for us, "won't you come in!" He smiled at us, and we smiled back walking in. We headed into the kitchen where we were greeted by the whole family. After about a dozen greetings, we followed a secretive Jace down stairs to the 'family room', where the two hulks were playing video games.

"Alright savages, introduce yourselves." Jace said sitting down on the couch. They paused their game, and both turned around. One has dark brown hair like Jace, and he other was a ginger, but not as bright as my hair. The ginger spoke first, "my name is Evan, I am 18 years of age, and I am Jace's best friend!" He said giving a small wave.

"More Like I'm his best friend, and my name is Derek, I'm 19." He said looking at Heather and smirking. I giggled over at her, and she just blushed. I looked at Jace, and he patted the seat next to him, but I glanced over at the boys playing their game, and failing horribly at it.

"Man you guys really suck at that." I said giggling heading towards the losers. I turned around and saw Heather pulling up a chair, followed by a loud sigh from Jace.

"please, you're a girl, you couldn't do any better!" Evan said turning around and handing me a remote. About 4 rounds later I beat both with flying colors. "Alright, I guess you showed your point." Evan said standing up and walking up the stairs. I stood up, and saw Derek and Heather talking with Jace no where to be found.

I headed upstairs, and walked around the house. There were faces I didn't recognize, so I headed towards a hallway, looking at a bunch of pictures. I picked one up of a young girl and a boy, around their 20's. They were happy and the women was pregnant. On the same table there was a picture of a little boy, between the age of 2 and 5, Jace of course, I can spot those eyes from a mile away.

I felt a cold breeze, and the smell of coffee. I turned around a see a door cracked open the slightest. I pushed open the door, to see Jace standing on his balcony facing away from me. I walked towards him, trying to be sneaky, but I saw his back tense up, and his head turned slightly.

"Go away." He said coldly.

frowning, I continued to walked towards him, when I stopped at the railing and looked out at the sunset. We both stood there  in silence, I didn't like it, but I felt as though we needed it. To get away from all the craziness.

"What are you doing here..." he said looking at me. I didn't turn towards him yet, but I felt his hand reach up and graze my cheek. I flinched away slightly because I couldn't handle the fire that his hand always left on my cheek. I looked up at him, and his eyes were the slightest shade of red.

"What's wrong?" I said looking him in the eyes, trying to find something, but there was a wall up the size of China. He looked away and sadly chuckled.

"All these holidays seem to get just a bit harder when my father isn't around. It's not easy, and I try my best for my family." He said looking out to the sky, "Now that I am the man of the house, it's stressful. I want a good life for my mom and I, and I want to do good..." he paused for a second, and stepped away from the banner. I stood in the same spot, not wanting to upset him. But, I flinched when I heard a bang, tuning around to a hole in the wall, and a cursing Jace. I rushed to him, just as the door was opening. There was an older man in the door way, and Jace just glanced at him before falling to his knees. I bent down, and cupped his face, forcing him to look at me. He had tears streaming down his face, and looked devastated.

"How can I make a good life for them, if I'm not having a good life." He said teary eyed looking at me. I sighed looking at the man in the doorway, he gave me a nod and closed the door. I just sat there with him while he cried, like he did for me. We sat there for what seemed like hours, but we both ended up laying on the ground side by side.

He turned his head slightly so he was facing me, "Thank you for staying by me," he whispered, so quietly I could hardly hear it. I turned my head so I was looking him in the eyes. They were puffy, and his whole face was red, but he was still incredibly handsome, he always would be. During that time of studying his face, I accidentally lingered on his sad smile. He tried to smirk, but it came out sloppy. I giggled and sat up.

"Who was that guy in the doorway?" I asked sitting up and putting my hair in a bun. He sat up and looped his hand around my waist pulling me sideway into his lap. He kissed the side of my forehead and rested his head against mine.

"That is my fathers brother. My uncle Will, he was always here when my dad passed, and was helping us with the bills for a while. Now that my mom is stable with her job and it's only me, it got a lot easier." He said rubbing his thumb on my knee cap, leaving trails of burning sparks with every rub. I moved my hands over my knees so he wouldn't be able to do that. He then grabbed my chin and looked confused.

"Why do you always do that?" He says looking me in the eyes. I tried to explain but I was distracted by the one thing I hoped never would, his lips. I couldn't remember the last time he kissed me. When I looked him in the eyes, I noticed he was looking mine too, so who cares.

I crash my lips to him and immediately and he responded, grabbing my face, as gently as possible as if I'm a breakable doll. I wrapped my legs arounds his waist carefully, not exposing anything under my dress, his hands resting on my hips, we sat there for what seemed like seconds before he pulled away, and sighed.

"Do you want me to ask you to be my girlfriend?" He asked moving my fly away hairs.

"Is that you asking me..." I said giggling, "Because if it is.."

"yeah, well no, I want to ask you, but like I already know your answer, so I mean..." he said rambling, and breaking away from us. I tilted my head, and pouted like a baby.

"Ugh god, alright." He said chuckling, and coming centimeters from my face, "Olivia Montgomery, will you please be my girlfriend?" He asked with the biggest smile on his face. I giggled, and shook my head no, while responding, "Yes."
