An MRI. Why a freaking MRI.

"Just a couple of more minutes Ms. Montgomery, if you would stop moving, this would be done sooner!" replied an angry nurse. I wouldn't blame her, I'm a horrible patient. I hate needles, I hate the smell of hospitals, and I hate small spaces, so imagine how I acted once they told me I had to have an MRI.

"Sorry..." I said, trying to move my arm to a comfortable position, only part, there were no comfortable positions in this cacoon. Whatever way you moved you were still uncomfortable. Okay, it's been like 5 minutes, I'm done. I shimmy down to the end of the cacoon, and start to pull the wires off of me.

"Um excuse me....Ms. Montgomery you cannot do that. It is against the hospital rules!" The nurse was screaming as she tried to unlock the door. But she couldn't....you needed to turn the machine off to unlock the door. So I took the advantage to leave and head back to my room.

When I walked into the room, no one was there. Just my clothes in a pile on the bed, and empty chairs. I took my clothes and headed into the bathroom to change out of this "hospital dress". Once I was dressed I took my hair out of the bun it was in, and let my red locks fall down my shoulders. I opened the door to Heather staring at me.

"You were supposed to be gone for another half hour..." she said looking at me suprised, then within seconds she figured out what was going on..."Did you escape?"

I held up my arm and showed her the IV, "I need your help getting this out, so we could get ME out!'' I said moving my hand around. She grabbed my arm and I looked away, I can't do needles, If I could then I would be taking it out. I felt a pinch which meant she was done. I grabbed it from heather and threw it on the bed. Grabbing her hand we fast walked out of the hospital wing and into the waiting room where jace was waiting.

"Sweetie you cannot leave until you are discharged." A male nurse called after us from the front desk. I waved at him and he just shook his head. We rounded the corner to the waiting room, when suddenly I heard the voice of the lady from the MRI, guess she got out..turning the corner we saw Jace looking confused to see us.

"I thought not another half hour, what the he..." He said chuckling to himself when he saw the lady was catching up to us.

"YOU CANNOT DO THAT YOU NEED TO BE DISMISSED AND YOU MUST EXIT THE HOSPITAL WITH A WHEELCHAIR!!" She screamed, her face turning bright red, as she doubled over to catch her breath. Looking around I saw a wheelchair by the entrance, I ran over and sat down, and on cue, jace grabbed the handles and pushed me out, "Thank you, have a nice day!" I waved as we exited the hospital in style.

"So that was a very productive day at school!" Jace's sarcasm made both Heather and I laugh, as we drove down the road heading back to my house, "I mean we didn't even get much homework!"

"Ha-Ha! Very funny, but maybe tomorrow will be better!" I said fixing my hair from flying all over the place, I looked out the wind and saw all the trees starting to change colors. I love fall, it was such a nice time of the year. Football games, bonfires, leaves, and the occasional pumpkin picking and apple picking. But of course, my family doesn't do that. We don't do anything. With just my parents, and I....we aren't even a family if you think about it. they don't care...I blink back tears as we pass all the happy houses on my street, all the houses that have family that actually care about them.

"Olivia!? Are you even listening to me?!" Screamed heather, as she turned around to look at me, I wiped my tears and looked at her. She didn't finish her sentence, she just muttered and 'oh' and went back to sit in her spot. I saw Jace flash a look in his mirror, but I turned away before he could see me.

We arrived at my house with my parents car not in sight. I was the first person to get out of the car, Heather following right behind me. I walked into the door, and found all the pieces of glass from this morning on the floor. "Ahhh, didn't even clean up his mess..." I whisper harshly, as I bend down to pick up the glass.

"It's fine", interupted Jace as he bent down next to me, "I'll pick it up, besides don't want you to go back to the hospital again today, do we?" He said smiling, but I could tell inside he wasn't smiling. He was furious someone else would do this to another person. Well welcome to my world. I just smiled and walked away.

I walked over to the basement door, and opened it, revealing Chester! He ran around the house like a crazy person, before I let him out in the backyard. I asked Heather to clean up the left over beer Bottles and cans, while I go upstairs and clean up. I headed up the stairs, walked into the bathroom, and grabbed a dixie cup and advil from the cabnet. Opening up my parents room, I placed it on the table, and went to straighten up the room.

As I was straightening up, I was a picture that suprised me. I was a christmas picture we took, at Home Depo. It was our first time getting a real tree, Mike and I were sitting on the ground, and my father was holding the tree, while my mother was trying to fix my hair...we all had smiles on out face. We were all happy. I heard the door squeak, and jumped, dropping the picture.

"I'm sorry....I didn't mean to scare you!" Apoligized Jace as he bent down to grab the picture, as I was frozen, realizing he was standing with me. Alone. In my parents room.

"We should go...I don't want Hea...." I was interupted by a hand, grabbing my arm. I turning around to see him sitting on the bed, holding the picture, "Who is this boy?"

"My older brother Michael.." I said still looking at the picture.

"Where is he? I didn't know you had any siblings..." He said looking at me. I glanced at him, and back at the picture. "He died, in a car accident."

He looked down at the picture, "I'm sorry Montgomery, I didn't mean to bring up a sore subject."

"It's okay, you didn't know." I said grabbing the picture from him and placing it back on the table, and stiing down next to him. We sat there for what seemed like forever. He would steal acouple of glances at me, but I kept looking at the picture. Then suddenly he spoke up.

"What happened..."
