Avneil are neighbours. They are studying in the same school and they are the best frenemies. Enemies cum friends because though they always fight with each other,they care for each other. They love to trouble each other but they can't live without each other. Such is their friendship. (Tom and Jerry types.)

Avni was a cute and complete chatter-box girl. Always talking about something or other.

Neil:Avni yaar kitna chabar-chabar karti hai tu.

Avni:Huff! Dekhna ek din tu meri chabar-chabar sunne ko taras jaayega.

Neil:Jis din aisa hoga na mere kaan sabse lucky ho jayenge.

She threw a pillow on him and here starts the never-ending pillow fight.

Avni often used to visit Khanna mansion to play with Neil and to spend time with the Khanna family.They were attached and shared a good bond. The Khannas treated Avni as their own daughter.

Avni was a happy child until a day which changed her life completely.

Avni's father Ashish was a journalist,he was writing an article on Raghu Pandit.
Raghu Pandit whom everyone thought to be a social-worker. But he was a devil in disguise of saint. He was very rich but through black-money and illegal business. He was involved in drug- smuggling,organ-trafficking.
He gave assurance that he will give free education to poor girls but he trapped those girls in human-trafficking. Ashish wanted to expose Raghu in front of the society. Raghu Pandit's goons had warned him several times to stop this work but he didn't.

It was Sunday,Avni was in Khanna mansion. Neela was busy in doing household chores and Ashish was also doing his work when Raghu's goons entered their home. They were shocked. The goons were paid to kill the whole family. Neela was scared as the goons were beating Ashish.Neela became more shocked when she saw Avni entering the house,Neela signed Avni to hide under the sofa. Avni was shocked but she hid under the sofa understanding her mother's sign.

One of the goon saw Neela signing someone but there was no one. He held Neela. Avni closed her mouth to control her weeps. She was shocked her voice was not coming from mouth. Tears were continuously flowing from her eyes as her parents were brutally killed in front of her own eyes.

Her parents were her world and she lost her world she became an orphan just in few time. The goons ran from there after killing and erasing all the proofs.

The Khannas adopted Avni because she had no maternal family as Neela was orphan and her paternal family was not ready to accept her as they were not ready for Neela and Ashish's wedding the reason was Neela being an orphan.

Avni was in trauma after that incident and also lost her voice. She was completely changed,she forgot to smile and blabber. But the Khanna family tried alot to make her smile. They pampered her but still that bitter memory cannot be erased from her mind and heart. Avni sometimes overheard the conversation of neighbours saying that she was a bad luck and because of her,her parents died and that she ate her own parents. Avni was very sad she knew that how her parents died. But she cannot tell anyone as she lost her voice and she was mute. All proofs were also erased so the case of Ashish and Neela's murder was closed.

Twelve years,leap.
Avni is 22 years old and Neil is 24 years old.

Avni cannot speak but she is living her life happily hiding her pain from everyone. She lost her family 12 years ago but she also got a new family who cared a lot for. Shweta and Prakash were like parents to her and Bebe was best friend.

Things were different in case of Neil as Neil always spend much time with her always making her feel special and happy. She started feeling something for him,she was aware of her feelings but she wanted to hide it as she thought that why Neil would love a girl like her who can't even confess her feeling so she secretly loved him,her favourite work was to spend time with him,secretly admire him and writing about him and her feelings in her personal diary.

Neil also loved spending time with her. When he got to know that she can't speak,he remembered her blabber and talks.
She said to him that ek din tu meri chabar-chabar sunne ko taras jaayega and same was happening. His ears were craving to hear her useless talks,her melodious giggles but it was not possible,he was missing her old Avni,his heart bleeds seeing her crying so he tried every possible way to make her smile as he was deeply,madly fallen for her.
He know that even if she feels something for him even then she will not tell him so he decided to propose her and confess his feelings for her.

Sometimes Avni becomes suspicious of his behaviour as he keep giving her signs that she is someone special to him. But she always thought that he does this things so that she don't feel lonely.

One day she thought that there should be no secrets between them so she decided to tell him her feelings,she wrote in her diary that she will tell him what she feels for him. On the same day Neil had decided to propose.

     But their destiny has some other plans for them.

Avni was watering the plants in the garden when she overheard the conversation of some gossiping ladies of neighbourhood.

Shanti:Are Megha tujhe pata hai Shweta ne us ladki ko ab bhi apne ghar me paal rakha hai.

Megha:Sahi bol rahi hai tu Shanti. Kab tak us ladki ki zimmedari uthayenge wo log. Uske liye koi ladka dhoondh ke shaadi kara deni chahiye.

Shanti:Are lekin kaun ladka us goongi ladki se shaadi karne ko taiyaar hoga. Us manhoos ko to uske ghar waalo ne bhi nahi apnaya doosra koi kyu apnayega.

Megha:Haa ab ye to Shweta aur uske ghar waalo ka badappan hai jo uska bojh dho rahe hai.

Shanti:Ek din jab wo manhoos ladki unke bete ko apne jaal me fasa legi na tab akkal aayegi.

(Avni was not able to listen further,she went inside the house.)

Shweta and bebe were having a talk.

Bebe:Kya soch rahi hai Shweta.

Shweta:Bebe wo meri dost ne apne bete ke liye Avni ka haath maanga hai.

Bebe:Are ye to acchi baat hai. Ladka kaisa hai.

Shweta:Ladka to accha hai bebe lekin mai soch rahi thi ki tillu Avni se bada hai to hame pahle uski shaadi karani chahiye na.

Bebe: Aisa nahi hai Shweta Ashish aur Neela ke mar jaane ke baad Avni hamari zimmedari hai fir pata nahi achha rishta mile na mile.

(Avni only heard this statement of bebe as she was going to her room. She quickly closed herself in her room.)

Shweta:Ji bebe hame Avni se baat karke dekhni chahiye. WIse bhi ek na ek din to uski shaadi karwani hai. 

In Avni's room.

(Avni was crying silently in her room.)

Avni (in her mind):Sahi to keh rahe the wo Avni tu unki zimmedari hai bojh banke baithi hai un par. Aur jab meri khud ki family ne mujhe nahi apnaya to un logo ne mujhe apnaya aur pyaar diya isse zyada mai aur kya expect kar sakti hu. Aur Neil to mujhse kahi guna zyada acchi ladki deserve karta hai to accha yahi hoga ki mai jiska bhi rishta aaya hai mai chupchap ha kar du aur in sabse door chali jaau. Yahi sahi rahega.
