Chapter 6

Ladybug- well, Dragonbug had gathered all of her available team. With Rena Furtive on the lookout and nearly every single miraculous in her box activated, Ryuko and Vesperia were the only pre-established heroines that weren't able to fight by her side. This was because Oni-Chan and Sole Crusher had returned, as well as dozens of more people upset by the whole scandal that had happened earlier today: Stormy Weather and Party Crasher were two of the many fans seeking to save Adrien from Chloe's grip, Maledictator and Despair Bear just wanted their jobs back, Frightengale and Guitar Villain were some of the akumatized celebrities who wanted compensation for their burnt belongings, Style Queen was trying to avoid a lawsuit and it was impossible to count the number of vaguely Chloe-shaped Sentimonsters from people who hadn't been previously Akumatized but finally snapped, either from seeing such injustice or from losing their posessions in the fire. But one thing was for sure: Every single one of the villains was after Chloe.

"Purple Tigress, catch!" Dragonbug shouted as she spun Stormy Weather with her yo-yo and King Monkey hit said villain with his staff, making her drop her Umbrella. The tiger heroine then caught the akumatized weapon with her whip and snapped it in two.

While the rain had stopped, the leader didn't have time to rest because Mulak was heading in her direction while simultaneously shooting many of Polymouse's clones. While just barely managing to escape with her Wind Dragon power, Dragonbug was struggling under all the attacks.

"I knew I shouldn't have given Chat Noir that miraculous" She mumbled to herself, but just then, she heard it:

"Cataclysm!"

Chat Noir destroyed Mulak's safe with one simple hit and crushed his akumatized coin beneath the sole of his shoe.

"Your knight is here, M'lady!" He bowed. "Erm- Sorry I took so long... I had to show the ropes to the newbee, y'know?"
"And where is she?" She asked, throwing one of the many Sentimonsters into Frightengale's face in the distance. Pigella handled that one afterwards.
"Right he- huh??" Chat Noir looked to his side. "I could've sworn she had come I'll be right back!"
"Don't go, I need your cataclysm and you're the only person I've seen to be able to take on akumatized Kagami in a sword duel. My spy's located our new ally already, I'll go talk to her."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, trust me, Kitty."
"Alright, if you say so"

Dragonbug transformed into Astrobug and flew to where Rena Furtive told her to go, followed by Longg.

Meanwhile Chloe, while transformed, was standing in a rooftop with her hands up to her head.

"Hey!"
"AGH!" She screamed. "Where did you come from!?"
"Chat Noir told me you weren't feeling too good so I decided to come see if everything was ok."
"It's just look, here, just take it, I can't do this..." She went to grab her hair comb, but Ladybug, now back to her default state, stopped her.
"No, don't do that!" She put her hand on the new teammate's shoulders. "Look, I'll be honest, I have no idea who you are under that mask, but, whoever you are, Chat Noir definitely sees something in you."
"He just gave it to me cuz I'm the only option left... Really, I'm useless, I'll just get in your way."
"You know, for a while now I've been living by the moto that nobody's useless, even if they made many mistakes. Again, I don't know anything about you but I'll let you know that this was the first time Chat Noir ever chose an ally. So trust me when I say that he really saw something in you since you were his first choice."
"Really?"
"Definitely. Now, can I count on you?"

Chloe took a deep breath.

"Alright. I won't disappoint you, Ladybug."
"Follow my lead then."

Ladybug hopped of the building in direction to the battle.

"I'm not going to let you down... not again."

Chloe took a step back and got a running start, jumped and threw her spinning top at the floor, using her new wings to glide a couple meters above the ground, going after the weapon like a kite.
