Chapter 15: The Inedible

It was the following morning and Dream was the first to wake up. He didn't know how both Techno and him managed to stay on the chair. He tried to get but but Techno's grip on him was too strong. Techno moved closer to Dream and hugged him tighter, scared to let go. Dream tried and tried, but his attempts where futile. So he gave up and let Techno sleep.

Another hour pasted and Dream really wanted to get up. So, he yet again tried to leave Techno's arms. Techno, who didn't like this hugged him tighter. "No, don't leave me..." Techno spoke in his sleep. Dream looked at Techno's face to see a single tear roll down Techno's faces.

Dream moved one of his arms and ran his hand through Technos pink hair. "It's ok Techno. I'm not going anywhere" Dream told Techno softly. Techno seemed to hear Dream in his sleep and loosened his grip on Dream. "Everything will be alright" Dream told Techno still running his hand through Techno's soft pink hair.

Finally Techno's grip loosened enough for Dream to get out and off the chair. Dream sighed as he made his way to the bathroom. He did his morning routine then left going to his office.

Dream sat in his office chair and pulled a note book out. He began to come up with plans and ideas for how to deal with people knowing that he's alive.
'Tommy will definitely tell them I'm alive. So they'll come looking for me soon' Dream sighed. 'The question is what are they going to do with me when they find me?' Dream asked himself. 'Will they leave me be? Or will they try to kill me again? Though I can't let that happen this time. It'll hurt Techno if that happens and I don't want that. Will they put me in prison again? Probably not. But if they did at lest I'd still be alive' Dream thought as he began to write what could happen.

After awhile Dream came to the best and most possible outcome. That they'll put him in prison again. The best outcome would be that they'd leave him be. But Dream knew that they wouldn't do that. So the best and most probable outcome would be Pandora's box again. Dream let out yet another sigh and rubbed a hand up and down his face in frustration. Frustrated that he can't stop it from happening because it could cause more problems. But also guiltily. Guiltily that he will have to brake his told Techno. Dream told Techno that he's not leaving and that everything will be alright, but now he sees that he's only avoiding the inevitable.

Techno woke up and instantly shot up when he released that Dream was not next to him. 'Where the hell are you Dream?' Techno thought as he began to look around. Soon he made his way into Dreams office to see Dream sat in his office chair looking at a notebook in frustration and sadness.

"What's up?" Techno asked Dream entering the office and making his way over to Dream. "It's just me being alive again problems. I should have just stayed a ghost" Dream told Techno sighing. Techno was slightly angered by that. "No" Techno took a step closer to Dream. "Huh?" Dream was confused on the outburst and what he meant by just no. "You shouldn't have stayed a ghost" Techno told Dream sternly. "But-" Dream was cut of but Techno. "No buts. You did everything for them. It's time to do something for yourself" Techno told Dream now stood in front of him. Techno clenched his fists 'ungrateful bastards. There the reason he thinks like this'.

Dream saw Technos reaction.
"They don't know I did it for them. They see me as how I made them see me. It's not there fault" Dream said standing up for the others and blaming himself for the position he's found himself in.  He didn't plan to fall in love with Techno. He didn't take into his plan how Techno would react when he died. Dream did an impulsive decision to come back to life for Techno.

Techno pulled Dream into a hug. "I know. I'm sorry" Techno apologise, he knew why Dream did what he did he also knows how much he cares about them all no matter how much he try's to hid it. Dream hugged back. "No. I'm sorry" Dream apologised. His apology sounded like it was more than what was needed which confused Techno but he chose to ignore it for now.

They left the office and went to the kitchen and had breakfast. "I should head back. I told Phil I'll be back late yesterday but I didn't. He'll probably be worrying about me" Techno told Dream standing up and putting his plate in the sink. Dream just nodded seeming to be deep in thought. He wants to go with Techno but he knows that, that is a stupid thing to do. It'd be like him walking out in the open and standing there with fire works. But if he stayed he'd also be avoided the inevitable.

Techno unaware of the internal war Dream was having with himself put his cape on and fixed his crown getting ready to leave. "Techno?" Dream called out quietly. "Huh" Techno looked at Dream to see Dream's torn face. "Can I come with you?" Dream asked wanting to stay with Techno for as long as possible. "Dream" Techno said in a stern and warning tone. He didn't want Dream to leave his base. It was the safes place for Dream right now. But he also knew Dreams way of thinking. Somethings he wishes he didn't. "But maybe if I come and show myself willingly they might be more open to negotiate" Dream told Techno trying to persuade Techno to left him go with him.

"I don't know Dream..." Techno responded. "Please?" Dream asked looking at Techno with a pleading look. Techno grumbled something about nerds that can be annoyingly cute. "Fine..." Techno grumbled but before he could finish Dream jumped up and grabbed his mask. "But I'll go with you to meet them" Techno reasoned with Dream. He knew that they would want to take Dream somewhere to discuss what happened and he was going to be there. Even if Dream didn't want him to see or be there. Dream sighed but nodded in defeat.

How bad could it be...?
