Chapter 4: friends

The awkward silence was broken when Techno spoke up. "Dream go take a shower I'll Cook you something to eat," Techno said as he made his way to the kitchen. "Ok thanks" Dream thanked Techno as he stood up and left to have a shower.

Phil was left alone in the living room. A sigh escaped his lips as he leaned favour back into the couch. 'They really used Dream and he didn't even care. What happened in that prison? Was it that bad, to the point that it made Dream release that they don't care about him?' Phil thought questions flying through his head at a mile per hour. Until one stood out to him. Making Phil think on it more than the other 'if they find out Dreams alive will they come after him?' That stuck out to him. Would they go back on their word if they found out that he survived? Dream helped them in their time of need and was still willing to go back to prison. So would they? Phil knew the answer but just didn't want to admit it.

The answer was......yes.
They would hunt Dream down and kill him.

Phil was slightly relieved that Techno got Dream to say. So they could keep an eye on him. Make sure he's safe. But then he remembered that Dream does have a base that no one has found apart from Techno and that was Because of a blood trail. Would Dream have been safe if they let him go? But if Dream was there he would be alone. Giving him less of a chance if they did find the base. He'd be outnumbered. Maybe Dream might be able to take them all on if he went hurt. But unfortunately, he was hurt. So he was better of with them. His chances of surviving were higher. Plus Phil could tell that Techno would not let Dream leave. Especially now when Dream was hurt. Phill's always known that Dream is one of the few people Techno cares about. Dream and Techno have known each other since they were kids. If Phil had had to say who he thought Techno cared about most he'd say Dream without hesitation. Even if Techno didn't know it yet. Techno cared for Dream more than everyone else that he cared about together.

Phil remembered when they were younger. Dream and Techno were kids when they first met each other. About 5. If he recalled correctly. And they were friends almost instantly. Dream was always there for Techno after that. Dream helped Techno in ways Phil couldn't. Dream stood up for Techno when others picked on Techno for his difference. Dream was the reason why Techno wanted to get stronger. Techno always seemed calmer when Dream was around less tense. Phil knew Techno had voices. They always made Techno on edge. But somehow it didn't seem like they bothered Techno as much when Dream was around. Phil didn't try to pray the information out of Techno. Wanting Techno to feel like he could talk to him. He didn't want to break that to find out something.

Phil was shaken from his thoughts when he heard Techno call out to him "Phil food ready" not wanting the food to get cold Phil joined Techno and Dream in the kitchen. Dream was in a new set of his old clothes. Green baggy hoodie with a black turtle neck underneath fingerless gloves black jeans with black combat boots. He also had a new mask on. Once Phil sat down they all started eating. They were in comfortable silents until Dream spoke up "um thanks for letting me stay. I know I cause a lot of trouble and I don't want to bring it to you guys. So if you'd feel better if I left, I will" Dream said getting more confident with his words as he spoke. His voice was still a bit horsely. "No, it's fine Dream. We don't mind if you stay" Phil told Dream putting Dreams worries to rest, for now. Techno nodded to Phil's words agreeing with them. They once again feel in peaceful silence.
