The city walls are grey in color
And my life yellow
Everything seemed fascinating about them
Until it got duller.
The city walls have seen many disasters
Various storms of hurt and annoyance
But silently kept weeping
As they can do nothing to complain.
My life was cheerful and merry
Until the greyness of the city walls filled me
I too have scars from beer bottles and car accidents
But I cracked harder 'cause I'm human.
The city walls have been repainted
Now they are a bright blue
All their scars have vanished
But mine are still new...
