You were seated at your desk waiting for Akashi to show up. He missed the first period, you didn't know why. He is the team captain of course he's caught up in some club activity, you assumed. You looked at Chiyo and wondered if you should tell her about this morning. You knew she'd freak out and unintentionally spill all the beans to everyone. You didn't want to make a big deal out of it so you chose not to tell her anything just yet. You buried your face in your folded arms and tried your best not to explode.

The third period is almost over, he isn't here yet.

Is he bunking classes Nah that's not like him or did he leave school due to a family crisis maybe but his bag is still here?

You gave up. It's not like if you don't meet him today you'd die or anything. You half-heartedly continued with the day.

"You wanna go to the movies after school"

"Nah I think I'll pass"

"you sure don't call me later crying that you wanna be with us too" Chiyo knew about your fear of missing out.

"no don't worry about that you guys should go enjoy the movie, I've some stuff to do at home" you lied.

"as you wish"

Akashi finally showed up after lunch. He was still in his gym clothes. Now that he's in front of you, you weren't sure what to say to him. You gaped at him and realized that he has been sweating. You thought he didn't sweat.

You took a deep breath in and finally ask "where were you?"

"I was assisting the first years, they had a practice match against Kaijo high" he replied sternly.

"ahh I see, looks like they gave you a hard time"

"Are you mocking me?" Akashi snapped

"no uh- I'm not" you stuttered.

He clicked his tongue and went back to his textbooks. You assumed that the match must've not gone well, hence he's pissed. You weren't sure if he was aware of the fact that he was still in his gym clothes. You didn't dare to initiate another conversation. His shrill voice and death stare terrified you to the core. He wasn't the Akashi who kissed you this morning. You wanted to talk to him about this morning and why he kissed you out of nowhere. You had too many questions but you decided to give him some space and talk about it tomorrow. Akashi went off to change when the teacher pointed out his outfit. It felt like one bolder has been lifted off your chest.

The day passed by with you staring at Akashi from behind. You were sent to detention for daydreaming in class and not being able to answer any questions. You didn't even know which class was going on and had a manga out that you weren't even reading. You were asked to mop the basketball court after practice for punishment

Great! just when I wanted to avoid him.

You waited for 3hrs after school for the practice to get over. The basketball team member offered to help you but you refused. Your worthless rage was at its max limit as everybody watched you with pity. But the fangirls on the bleacher were enjoying your agony. You were more furious because Akashi didn't offer you help while others did. Of course, you would've rejected his help but he should have a decent courtesy to offer so. Your anger was visible on your face. You took all your anger out on the floor, moping it intensely and leaving behind patches of unmoped floor. Nobody dared to point out the unmoped dusty patches.

Just when you thought that nothing could make you angrier. Akashi walked across the moped floor to join his teammates on the other side. You could feel the heatwave outline your entire body.

"Are you freaking blind!?" you yelled.

"We'll mop the floor again after you're done" Akashi replied pointing out the dusty patches you left behind, "as I can see you're clearly having a hard time doing it"

"Then why the heck am I busting my ass here?" you spoke sternly.

"because you got detention, just it over with already" he shrugged and turned towards his teammates. The giggling and murmuring in the background started increasing actively.

You threw the mop which hit the bucket spilling the dirty water across the floor and shouted, "What the FUCK is wrong with you!" You could feel tears pooling behind your eyes.

Akashi was on his last straw too now. He turned around fiercely to you and yelled back "no what the fuck is wrong with you why are you acting it's my fault i didn't ask you to read manga in class"

"I'm ..b-but " your voice broke. The lump in your throat grew larger with everything thought. Streams of warm tears started falling down your cheeks. You hated it whenever you started crying while flipping out. You were angry, not sad.

Why the heck do I always start crying, why is it that all I can do is cry!

The room became uncomfortably silent. Akashi's face fell on realizing how the girls on he bleachers were ridiculing you and his actions were only encouraging them. He stood there staring at you, a crying mess. His mouth opened slightly trying to think of some comforting words to say but nothing came to his mind.

You ran out of the gym without saying anything else. You didn't expect anyone to come after you. You went straight upstairs and started packing up your stuff aggressively. Akashi came following you. He didn't enter the classroom, just stood at the front door.

He still couldn't find anything to say. So you spoke instead, "why did you kiss me this morning?"

"I thought you looked really beautiful" he finally let some words out.

"You don't kiss people just cause you find the pretty"

"I'm sorry I thought you might liked it" he replied

"No I didn't, why would I? maybe at first did but I don't anymore" you argued," you kissed me without my consent and then treated me like garbage the whole day"

"I'm not looking for anything serious or emotional" he whispered.

"What the heck? where did this come from? Do you think I'm some needy fangirl looking for something to cling to?" you snapped, "do me a favor, would you? stay away from me"

You left and he didn't utter another word.
Your perfect romance has fallen apart within a day and your prince turned out to be a senseless douche like every other guy.
