The Darkest Time (Sequel to Love is War)

Chapter 2

"Astrid! Where are you going?" Yells Ruffnut, running after a steaming Astrid.

"Where do you think I'm going? I have to save Hiccup!" Ruffnut manages to grab ahold of her arm and stop her from doing something stupid.

"I swear. You have been spending way to much time with him."

"Why do you say that?" You could hear the anger and distress in her voice.

"Because. You are going to do something stupid without thinking it through. And Hiccup might have a plan. We have to go all together with a plan of our own. We can't just go and save him. Because Alvin can't be that stupid, and trust me, I know stupid. He managed to get on Berk without anyone seeing, stole our chief without you beating him to a pulp, and he managed to make that plan all in a few weeks time from when somehow word spread of Drago and the alpha. Hiccup could be in serious trouble if we try to just show up about of the blue and take him. He will come back and get him for Toothless.

"And how do we know if we show up with Toothless, he won't manage to capture him and keep them both and as all too? We have to think this through."

Astrid looks at her surprised. Those words couldn't not of came out of her mouth. Usually she just wants to do something stupid and loves to get hurt. She never thinks things through. This can't be Ruffnut.

She knocks on her head. "Hello? Is Ruffnut there?" Ruffnut slaps her hand away.

"What was that for?"

"Well... You said something sensible. That is not like you."

"Whatever. But lets talk to Valka." Astrid nods and they set off to the Haddock household.

"Okay. So that's it? We have no choice but to show up with Toothless and ask for a "trade?""

"Well. We have to bring backup if they start to attack. So... You, Ruffnut, and Fishlegs will try to find Hiccup. Tuffnut, Snotlout and I would have to try to fight what defenses Alvin has set up. But we can't relay on that right now. Astrid, from what I heard, you guys know where his island is. We have to get there. And it has to be quick. Because people like him could use ll sorts of tricks.

"And he aren't giving us much time. So we are going to leave tomorrow at dawn with everyone one of the teens ready and the ships. But we are going to hide Toothless so nobody tries to take him. So go." She ushers them out. Astrid can tell that she is distressed that her only son is missing.

She runs to the Mead Hall and she sees the teens. They don't look like their usual, annoying selves. They look upset. She is surprised seeing Snotlout upset but him and Hiccup are related. She still doesn't see the resemblance between the two.

She walks up to them and tells them the plan.

It's set. They leave for Outcast island tomorrow morning.

I hate how this turned out.

But I don't want to redo it.

But I will try to make the next one but too lazy to change it.

And I thought it would be longer...
