Impressionable (Senku Ishigami x Reader)

"Senku! I..." Taiju says through his tears, "I'll believe in you and wait for as long as it takes. I'm hopeless without you! Come back, Senku!" He yells.

(Y/n)'s lips quivered as she resisted to cry, 'I won't..I won't. It's illogical of me to let my emotions get the best of me.' She lowers her forehead to plant it on the grass once again, shutting her eyes tightly as she squeezed one of Senku's hand, 'Please...' She doesn't notice the rain stopping, revealing a clear blue sky above the clouds that began to disappear.

Taiju was the first to notice, standing up to gaze at the sky, "It stopped raining." Yuzuriha also stands up, gazing up at the same direction as Taiju.

(Y/n)'s breath hitches and her eyes darted open once she had felt her hand squeezed back in return, hearing a dry voice, "The thunderstorm that was keeping us camouflaged was gone. Don't raise your voices. If Tsukasa hears us, we'll be instantly screwed." (Y/n) slowly lifts her head to smile widely.

Yuzuriha and Taiju were alerted by this remark, looking around their surroundings, "You're right!" Taiju was the first to agree.

"He's not coming, is he?" Then Yuzuriha. The two had then blinked in realization, releasing a gasp as they looked over their shoulders to exchange a smile of relief.

Senku lets out a soft chuckle as he held the pot that initially carried the revival fluid, standing up at his original height as he uses his free hand to place it at the back of his neck, "I'm surprised you noticed my neck. I hardly gave you a speck of a hint. Taiju, Yuzuriha, (Y/n), you three get ten billion points."

"Sen.." Yuzuriha starts.

"--ku.." Taiju finishes.

"I knew you'd come back.." (Y/n) confirms, standing up to then attack Senku with a sudden embrace, nuzzling her face into his shoulder, managing to say breathlessly, "Thank god..." She softly grips a handful of Senku's hair as she embraces him slightly tighter around the neck. Senku doesn't protest and his eyes softens, awkwardly embracing her by the waist.

Taiju lets out a cry, breaking apart the two so that he could embrace Senku too tightly by the waist. Senku cries in pain before he kicked off Taiju, "Never mind my cervical nerve, you just crushed my entire body! I'll kill you!" He pants for his breath before he said, "I'm sure you know not to, but don't go thanking me for every little thing. I won't thank you, either."

Yuzuriha's eyes began to water, "Welcome back, Senku-kun."

Once they collected themselves, Yuzuriha digs into her back to reveal a small flag with green shapes plastered at the corner, with a poorly made rocket in the middle, "Don't you think the shape of this hide kind of looks like a rocket?"

"There are star-looking things, too!" Taiju comments.

"They don't look anything like it." Senku says bluntly.

"You're right.." (Y/n) agrees.

"It looks like a science flag. I bet it'll look good on you, Senku-kun." Yuzuriha says, tying it over Senku's neck from behind with a tall branch, earning a grunt from Senku, "Let's put it on his neck, just in case."

"Oh yeah!" Taiju exclaims.

"It'll even be better with a splint. See?" Yuzuriha adds.

"It looks nice as a scarf!" (Y/n) says happily with clapped hands.

"Uh. I really don't need this." Senku assures, "I'm all better now. Professor Senku's self-sacrificing human experiment was a success. The restorative effects of undoing petrification was too damn high."
