"There should be a delay between average times of the last posts by area on sites like Twitter or Instagram. Find those and calculate backwards, and we can learn where the mysterious light originated." Byakuya remarks, "It definitely started in South America. The petrification beam spread radially from there."

"I would have never thought to figure it out that way." Lillian say from behind him.

"I'd love to brag, but I can't take the credit." Byakuya says, "My son, Senku, uses that sort of method a lot. Now that we know that, it's time to head out." He floats off to prepare his belongings, "Hang in there, Senku, (Y/n). I'm going to save you along with all seven billion humans." He starts to put on his astronaut suit, where he was surrounded by his comrades.

"Are you really going to the surface?" Connie questions, "You might be petrified the moment you land."

"If you're going, then at least go somewhere opposite the source." Yakov suggests. "Like Japan, on the opposite side of the globe from South America. If the petrifiaction is like a radiation beam, you need to stay away as far away as you can."

"Well, someone's gotta be a human test subject." Byakuya protests, "This was my idea, so I should really go by myself, but..."

"Then we won't have enough fuel for the return trip in the Soyuz. They sat three each, and we only have two." Shamil spoke up, "We need three of us to take the plunge."

Byakuya says sheepishly, "Sorry, but I guess I'll need two more to come with me."

"Therefore.." Shamil uppercuts Byakuya out the blue, earning a grunt from the older man.

"Shamil! You.." Byakuya says through the pain behind the punch.

"There won't be a ground crew to help you. It'll be an unprecedented landing." Shamil says, "You could even be petrified while you're maneuvering. You have a son, don't you, old man? If someone's going, it ought to be someone without a family. Like me."

And so, Lillian, Shamil, and Connie enter in one of the space shuttle to depart their ways from the space station and make their way down to the Earth. With time, they safely landed, however, they had landed on the ocean, far from the island they anticipated to land on.

"I have great news and terrible news." Shamil says through the headpiece of his helmet, "The great new is that we've landed, and we aren't petrified. The terrible news is that we missed the target by a great distance and landed in the water upside down. If we open the hatch, we'll take in water and sink."

Back at the space station above, Yakov was the first to react with a cry of frustration, "Don't worry." Dalin says, "They lasted for nine hours when they crash-landed on water before."

"Yeah." Shamil responds, "But that's the end of our lives."

Dalin suggests to Yakov and Byakuya, "We have to go down there and find a boat to help them."

"And where's the key to start the boat?" Yakov questions. "How many thousands of statues do we need to pickpocket before we find it? Even the closest continent--"

"We'll go help them from the nearest island." Byakuya says, already floating off to once again start gathering his belongings. "I don't care if it's uninhabited. If we can't find a boat, we'll make a raft."

"Do you really think we can land perfectly on an island?! We could be off as much as ten kilometers!"

"Ten kilometers is nothing. I'll swim the whole way, fully clothed, if I have to."

The sun already began to set, and Connie, Shamil, and Lillian still remained within the space shuttle tiled upside down within the ocean. Each of them struggled to conserve their breathing in the small room they were within. "Let's calm our breathing." Shamil says, "We have to conserve oxygen. Limit conservation, too."
