Chapter 23

Before his face could become any closer, suddenly, someone shoots Gwi Nam's neck with an arrow. Min Jae use his last and they were stunned because the bastard didn't flinch at all. Gwi Nam pulls it away and you take a chance to shove him away from you.

However, when Gwi Nam tries to pull you back, the drone makes a loud sound that makes you, Nam Ra and Gwi Nam in pain. You slid down against the wall with both hands and close your ears while the bastard followed after you. He is still trying to hug you but Cheong San kick him in the face and he falls, again for the fifth time including this moment.

"He will chase us again. Damn, he is like a cockroach that was so hard to die," Gyeong Su sighed while scratching his head.

"He won't," you mumbled and trying so hard to hold the urge to scream in pain. You can feel blood dripping from your ear and you quickly wipe it so no one notice.

"What do you mean?" Min Jae asked.

"Someone needs to stay here to make sure that everyone can run away from this place..." you take a deep breath, "I'm going to stay here."

"No," On-Jo said sharply, "no one has to sacrifice themselves anymore. We already promise to get out from here...together."

"If I recall back, I didn't. I said that I'm going to make sure that all of you can get out from here and I'm going to fulfil it. Besides, that motherfucker wants me so bad and I'm going to use it. It will give you a chance to not get bothered on your way to safety."

Hyo Ryung who already burst into tears hugged you tightly, pleading to you not to leave her. You try to pull away but she won't budge until Cheong San pull her away. You take off your jacket and give it to her. "Hyo Ryung, you're not alone. You are with our friends. They will be with you, okay?"

"Min Jae, can I use your jacket?" Without hesitation, he takes it off and passes it to you. You wear it and zip it until reaching your chin. You're going to use the scent to confuse the zombies that you are a human instead of a hambie.

You glanced at Gyeong Su, Wu Jin and Joon Yeong who look at you with teary eyes. Ha-Ri hugs Wu Jin, Dae Su hugs Joon Yeong and finally, Cheong San hug Gyeong Su. You feel your heart ached but you know someone needs to do this. For the last time, you give them a sad smile, more like a farewell smile.

Your belonging were all in the bag that Gyeong Su, including your old iPod. You whisper something to Hyo Ryung and with a metal bat in your dominant hand, you go back into the construction site.

You knock the concrete pole with the bat and shout continuously. At this last moment, you want to confess something. "Hey!" you shouted, "I have parents who hate me and a brother who loves me!"

The zombies run toward you while shrieking, "I also want to confess! I like someone, no, I like three boys at the same time!" your friends are stunned for a while, "they might hear it but I don't give a fuck!" you hit the zombie with your bat.

"I'm over here, monsters! I'm going to scream their names!" Min Jae peaked through the window and after confirming that there is no zombie, he told everyone to hop in.

When they began to run to the ground floor, they hear you screaming the names you claimed that you have been crushed on them. "Jang Wu Jin!" you hit one of the zombies. Wu Jin couldn't help but tear fall from his eyes.

"Han Gyeong Su!" and proceed to hit another one while searching for a place to run. Gyeong Su already sobbed.

"Oh Joon Yeong!" Joon Yeong cupped his mouth to muffle a cry. They regret not confessing to you first. If only they knew that you like them. Even if you already did confess, it was too late.
