I sat curled in the window. Cordgi was not so softly snoring on his back. He had little clothing on. I think what he called pants, which were just underwear, he only wore because I begged him to stop parading around the room naked. He didn't sound too pleased with this, but did as I asked.

The stars twinkled over the water. I watched the moon shine down. It sparkled above the sleeping land. Since moving to the dorm, three days ago, I found it hard to sleep.

Yesterday Neffy and I had escorted Tanwen to her room. She didn't like it. It was far better than mine. Intricate waterfalls were carved in the wood work. You could feel the hum of power around the palace. She had her own room. It was in the back of the tower. One wall fell away so she could fly out whenever she wanted. We had decorated it for her. Made it special and everything. Where is she asleep right now? Curled in a ball directly in the middle of my bed. That wasn't why I couldn't sleep.

The noises of the dorm were so different than the scratches of the Wry. I was a light sleeper, waking at any sound. This included mental sounds as well. I was used to hearing Shea put out the fire before shuffling off to his room. Greyson would come in a little later just to check that everything was tidy. He would call good night to me. It was only after that could I truly rest. Now I had a scared dragon and a snoring monster to contend with.

"Care for a flight?" the thought caressed my mind. I grinned.

"That would be amazing!" I answered.

"Waiting for you in the square." Neffy's laugh had me rushing to don some leather pants. I scooped up a jacket before rushing out. The night air was a bit chilled as I flew above the mountains. Soon, I knew, I would be flying these skies on my own Nuare. She just needed to get a bit older. I laughed as Neffy dived and twisted in the air. For me this was as natural as sleeping. He grew hungry, but fought it off since I was having so much fun. In the end I had to order him back so he would have time to hunt. I slipped from his back.

"Be safe." I told him. He bobbed his head. I watched him take flight once more.

"Who are you to command another's bond mate?" a voice came out of the darkness. I turned but saw no one. A flicker of movement then a boy with flame colored hair stepped into the light. He was licking at a popsicle. I narrowed my eyes, there was something about him. I turned to face him head on.

"He's a friend." I stated. The boy stopped a few feet from me.

"You're friends with another's dragon?" He sounded skeptical.

"What of it?" I demanded.

"And his knight ...." He waved a hand in the air.

"Is wondering where his roommate went too." A cold voice spoke from the door to the dorm building. The ginger turned to see a nearly naked Cordgi standing there, hands on hips.

"Ah, dear cousin..." the red haired boy stressed the familiar title.

"Go to bed Bran, no one here cares for your brand of curiosity." Cordgi stated in a dry tone. He turned to face me.

"You do know dragons are suppose to sleep in their own dorm, right?" He asked yawning hugely.

"She doesn't like it." I muttered leaving the two royals alone. I marched past my roommate to head inside.

"We shall have many more encounters, Zyn." The ginger predicted. I turned to look at him. How did he know my name?

"Dragons talk." Cordgi pushed me through the door with one last glare at his cousin. I didn't understand humans. Turning away from the ginger I headed up to my room. Tanwen was still asleep. I managed to squeeze into bed beside her.
