"Tom.. what do you think we should do for the triplets first birthday?..." Aurora questioned she had been thinking about it for a couple of weeks now.
Tom chuckled looking down at his gorgeous wife, "There not one for another two months love" watching her lips pout at his reply.
"I know Tom... it's just I can't believe there getting so big. It feels like yesterday when we held them in our arms for the first time." Tom nodded in agreement, time was slipping bye too fast. He was scared he would wake up one day and they would be all grown ready to move on with their lives.
"Oh!" Aurora gasped pausing in her step as a dirty football rolled before her. Tommy chuckled watching the boys giggle in achievement there plan had worked. "Sorry Miss" the leader called out running towards 'The Angel of Small Heath'.
"Oh don't worry about it Sweetheart!" Aurora smiled, opening her bag up for the bag of sweets she always carried with her. "Here you go! Make sure to share that with your friends, okay?" her French accent heavily contributing to her speech. The boy's all squealed in delight, thanking her profusely. A couple of the older boys flushed in awe, she was just so beautiful just as they heard their father's say.
Tommy shook his head in amusement it was something he had done as a child kick the ball in front of a good-looking girl to get their attention. Boy's never do change. He decided to scare them a little fro his own amusement of course.
"Aye, you boys watch where your kicking next time, Could've hurt my wife?" Tommy spoke up eyeing the group of boys , they gulped nodding their little heads in understanding. "Oh Tom! leave them alone they didn't mean too. There just having fun, aren't you?" she asked them playfully.
"Of course Miss!" a young boy shouted, smiling a toothy grin. Aurora nearly squealed in delight, he was just so cute. Tom laughed pulling his wife away before she could fawn over the boys some more.
"Come on Love" Tommy told her beginning their walk again. Aurora smiled clutching on to Tom's arm, enjoying their peaceful walk of Birmingham. It was a defiant move knowing the coppers were on the look out for her, but everyone knew they wouldn't touch her in Tommy's presences. Not even the coppers were stupid enough.
"Jeremiah, Jeremiah..What do you see?"
"Your sister and Freddie got back this morning. I tried following them, but Freddie's so good at getting away. He's like a fish" Jeremiah revealed.
"Right, Well keep fishing" Tommy replied his lips twitching at the sound of his wife's beautiful laugh. At least someone found him funny. Walking towards the betting den Aurora cheered in delight happy to be reunited with her little babies. In her excitement she missed Tommy pause to look at an unusual cart on their street.
"Alright, Mon Armour I'll see you later. Pol said the babes are in your old room" Aurora smiled kissing him smack on the lips as goodbye.
Smirking he watched as she floated out of the room her delicate footsteps going unheard. Tommy sighed stepping through the curtain of the betting den that separated the two buildings. It was significantly louder than the house.
The usually observant man missed a little boy slip past into the Shelby house.
"Alright Pol? Where's John?..."
"John's in the Garrison. Called for a family meeting... after he's said his piece he'll come back and take his place with Scudboat" Pol reassured grabbing her hat. Tommy sighed in annoyance, he just wanted one day without his family causing him grief.
