"Liv, I'm tired of this. I just want to be a normal teenager." Addy shouts at me while I make breakfast. "Addy, you're a Schaffer, this life is in your blood, there's no escaping it." I say flipping the pancakes. "Look, I've been doing some digging about our family, I have an Uncle in Texas. I've been talking to him. He says I can live with him." She says.
I sigh placing the pancake on the plate and slam it in front of her. She jumps and stares up at me. "Addy, the demons will find you and they'll kill anyone in their path. You're safer with us." I say starting on more food for the boys and Charlie. "Liv, I hate it here. Yeah I love you guys but this is just, I want more." She explains. Dean walks in and hugs me, "Morning, beautiful." He says and sits beside Addy.
Dean feels the tension between Addy and I, he looks at me then at Addy. "What's going on?" He asks. "Addy wants to move to Texas, with an uncle she's never met." I say handing him a plate. Dean looks at her and tilts his head. "I get it, this life is hard. Sometimes all we want is out of it. How well do you know this uncle?" He asks her. What is he thinking?
Addy smiles, "He owns a ranch that breeds race horses. He's my mom's brother, he stopped talking to them because they had some kind of falling out. But he seems really nice. I just, I'm tired of the monsters, Demons and witches. I just wanna be me." She says more to me than Dean. "There's nothing wrong with that. Maybe we can work something out, some kind of protection over the both of them and the ranch." Dean says.
Sam walks in on the tail end of the conversation, "What ranch? There's a case on a ranch?" He says sitting on the opposite of Addy as I slide his plate to him. Dean fills him in and he looks at Addy with that sad puppy look. "You really want to leave?" He asks her and she slowly nods. Sam picks up his plate and heads to his room. Dean watches his brother leave, "Well Sam's going to miss you." He says gripping her shoulder.
"Olivia, if you had an opportunity to get out of this life, wouldn't you?" She asks me. I look at Dean, who's clearly awaiting my answer. "No. No I wouldn't. Because this life is who I'am." I say. Dean smiles, and begins washing the dishes. "That's because you don't know any other way, you were raised in this life. I wasn't. So I'm sorry, but I'm going." Addy says leaving the table.
I shake my head watching her storm off. "Liv, maybe it's not a bad thing you let her go. I mean She's not used to this." Dean says drying his hands. "I know, Dean. But I'm going to miss her." I say. Dean wraps his arms around me, "I know babe, I'll have Cas put a protection spell on her. She'll be fine." He says.
I sit in the study and try to find a case, so far no luck. Which is odd considering there is always something going on. Hours pass when a light turns on, Dean walks out in his robe and a cup of coffee. "Have you had any sleep?" He asks me. I look up from the computer, "No." I state and go back to my search.
"Liv, it's seven am. What are you doing?" He says sitting across from me. "Looking for a case. I didn't realize it was already morning, did I wake you?" I say not looking away from my laptop. "No. Have you found anything?" He asks leaning on the table. "Possibly, near Battle Creek, Michigan. Looks like people are dying left and right, but supernaturally. Like Rick Harris, twenty three died by a slice trough his abdomen. But get this, he was standing in line at the local Starbucks when it happened, weird right?" I say. Dean nods and leans back in his chair, I can see there is something else on his mind.
He stands up, "Hey Dean, what's in Battle Creek?" I ask him. He looks back at me, "Nothing important, I'm gonna take a shower. We have a long drive to Texas a head of us." He says leaving me wondering. I put my things away and make my way through the halls until I find myself at Sam's room. I knock, seconds later he opens the door, letting me in. "Hey I found a case, so after we drop Addy off we can head to Battle Creek, Michigan." I explain to him.
