I've been a mother for a month and I'm tired, sore, and hungry. Dean has been by my side like a loving father. Dean is still a demon. We gave him the blood like Hanna said to and nothing. I mean he's gained more emotion, but maybe that's what happens. Slowly he becomes human again.

Jackson begins to cry and I start to get out of bed, but Dean comes in. "Lay back down. I got him." He says picking him up. I lie down and watch as Dean Winchester holds his son so careful and lovingly, as he positions Jackson against this shoulder and gently rocks him. "Dean are you happy?" I ask him. Still rocking Jackson he answers, "Yeah. Why?" He says joining me on the bed. "Because we've been parents for a month. Jackson's blood isn't quite working and Sam has been going on hunts without you." I explain.

"Just because I'm not out killing things doesn't mean I'm not happy. I have you and Jackson so, yes I'm happy." He says.

I know he's lying. He still has the mark of Cain. That mark gives him an itch that eventually he has to scratch. I mean if he doesn't go out and kill, it might kill him. At least that is what Sam and Castiel say. Dean has been really trying to push his demon qualities aside and not let the fact that Jackson's blood isn't really curing him bother him.

I start to clean up the cabin a little bit, while Dean puts Jackson back to sleep. As I'm picking up baby blankets and rags full of spit up, I hear Sam and Cas outside the front door. "CAS! Warn a guy next time you wanna zap him a thousand miles in a second." I hear Sam complain. I open the door and let them in.

"Hey guys. Any news?" I ask. They have been searching leads on a cure for Dean and a loophole so to speak to rid him of the Mark of Cain. Sam takes a seat at the old table that resides in the small kitchen. "Um well. Kind of." He says tucking his hair behind his ears. Castiel stands against the door, "Where is Dean?" He asks. Dean comes out from our room. "What's up guys. Sammy." He says as they both nod at each other. "Dean we have some information for you." Castiel says in a grim voice. My stomach starts to turn in knots.

We all sit at the table as Sam and Cas begin to tell us their findings. "Ok well about the mark, You must find someone who is of the Cain and Abel bloodline, Our bloodline. Just as you were given it, you must give it." Sam says and Dean just nods and turns to Cas. "Jackson's blood didn't work because he is not yet one years old. Hanna did not know this. But when he is 1, we will again take 8 vials of blood, but this time do them in one day at 2 hours apart." Cas finishes.

"Well Sammy we don't have anyone left in our bloodline." Dean says and Sam looks to our room, where Jackson soundly sleeps. My eyes go wide and dart to Sam at his silent suggestion. Dean has the same reaction, "No! Hell no! Sam. I'am not passing this curse onto my Son, YOUR nephew." He says. Sam rolls his eyes, and looks at me. "Your crazy if you think I'm going to agree with you. I'm with Dean on this." I say. "Ok that was a bad idea, I admit, but he is our bloodline Dean." Sam says.

"Yeah Sam I know he's our blood. But I will not put him in this." Dean says very protectively. Sam stands up so fast the chair beneath him goes flying against the wall. "DAMN IT DEAN! He's already in this. Just him having our blood running through his veins puts him in this. He has Schaffer and Winchester blood. I'd say he's screwed." Sam says. Castiel stands up, "Look giving the Mark to the boy is clearly not an option. We will find something else, Dean." Cas says reassuringly.

Sam's shouting woke Jackson up. I head in the room to grab him. Cradling him against my chest an swaying back and forth. I say, "Don't worry Jackson mommy won't let Uncle Sam put that nasty mark on you." Jackson stops crying and slowly falls back to sleep. I hear a chuckle behind me. "Uncle Sam. That's funny." Dean says behind me. I nod and he joins me looking over Jackson. "It feels like we've been together for a long time." He says. It does, I agree but we never really established what we were. I mean yeah we've had sex, we've said I love you then had a baby. "Dean what are we?" I ask. Sam walks in the room with his hands shoved in his pockets. "Hey I'm sorry about suggesting Jackson. And for waking him up, which I see you fixed." He says apologetically.

"Don't worry about it uncle Sammy." Dean says to him slapping his shoulder. Sam laughs at his new title and they join Cas in the living room. I cover Jackson up and join them as well.

"So what else can we do?" Asks Dean as I sit next to him. "I don't know. I mean the cure is just a waiting game for now. But the Mark. I'm gonna have to do some research." Sam answers. "Wouldn't Bobby know? I mean couldn't Cas just go to heaven and find him and ask if he knows anything?" I say and all three men just stare at me. "What?" I say and slowly each one of them begin to nod.

"That might work. I mean Bobby knew all about our family. Cas is it possible?" Dean asks him. Cas seems puzzled and looks out the window. "I don't like going up there unless Hanna calls for me. It's different up there. The angels, they look at me differently." He says without looking away. Dean and Sam share a curious look, before Dean speaks, "Aw is Cas the leper among the other angels." He says teasing him. Castiel turns and stares at him, "You don't get it Dean! I fell, I was human, I killed angels for grace, Bad angels but still angels. I Declined the leader position, They think I'm weak!" He yells. I've never seen Cas angry.

I place my hand on Castiel's arm, "Cas it's ok. You're not weak. You're the strongest angel I know." I say calming him. He looks at me, "I'm the only angel you know besides Hanna." He says dryly.

"Cas can you at least try for us? Please." Sam asks him. Cas is gone within seconds leaving dust falling from where he stood. "I think you made him mad Sammy." Dean says. "No, Dean I think you did." Sam retorts.

The next day we still don't know if Cas went to find Bobby or if he just left. Sam hasn't found much, mainly dead ends. Dean's out on run for some food and diapers. I can't believe how many Jackson goes through.

Sam looks up from his laptop, "Hey Olivia?" He says. I finish rinsing out bottles and place them on the drying mat. "Yeah." I say dryng my hands and joining him at the table. "How's Dean been lately? Like you know, with the Mark?" He asks. "Well he says he's fine, but you and I both know he's good at hiding things. Sam that Mark is going to kill him." I say and I hear Jackson crying. I go and grab him before Sam can answer. I cradle him with one arm while trying to get a bottle going. I drop the scoop of formula all over the counter.

Sam grabs the can and bottle, "Tell me what to do." He says. I sit and rock a now screaming Jackson, I walk him through each step. "You know Dean is kind of a natural at this stuff. One time we had to babysit a baby shapeshifter, and Dean was really good with it." He says handing me the bottle. I begin feeding Jackson. He quiets as he sucks on the bottle. "Yeah I was surprised how much he knew. He taught me a lot." I say. Sam sits down again, and watches me feed his nephew. In the past month Sam has not yet held Jackson.

The bottle is now empty and Jackson is now sleeping. "Olivia, does Dean make you happy?" He says. "What do you mean?" I ask as I put Jackson to bed and Sam follows. "Don't get me wrong I love seeing him happy, but I wanna know if you're happy." He says placing his hand on my shoulder. "Sam, I'll admit at first Dean was a dick, but he grew on me. I love him and yes I'm happy. Are you?" I ask moving away from his touch. "Yeah I guess I have to be." He says and Dean walks in with several bags. "Hey Sammy, a little help." He yells out to Sam as he sets some bags on the table.

I start taking things out and putting things away. "Dean, Be quiet. We just got Jackson to sleep." I say. He looks at Sam as he brings in the rest of the bags, "We?" Dean says. "Yes, we. Sam helped make his first bottle." Dean gives Sam a round of applause. Sam rolls his eyes and laughs.

As we're about to sit down, Cas appears. We all just stare at him. "I found, well Bobby and I found a relative of yours." Cas says.
