Luke's P.O.V

Everyone fell silent, looking at my cousin, Maya. People looked at her with confusion and she was looking at me and Calum with disgust.

"I hate you being gay. You fucking betrayed our family." Maya mouthed.

"Maya Grace Hemmings, you shut your mouth at once." Maya's dad yelled as she rolled her eyes.

Calum placed his hand on my knee and I placed my hand on top of his.

Maya stood up and began to yell "No. Luke and his shitty little boyfriend are scumbag rockstars who thinks that he can come out to his family and thinks it will all be okay. Well no. It's not fucking okay. I hate you Luke. You family hates you. And most of all, Calum hates you."

A tear rolled down my cheek even though I tried to keep my tears in. I can't handle it downstairs anymore. I got up before yelling back.

"I can stand you saying that you hate me. But I know that my family loves me. And to say that my boyfriend doesn't love me is fucking sick. Do you realise how fucking scared I was to even think about the fact of me being gay let alone to say it out loud to my family. I thought you, of all people, would accept me being the way I am, but I guess not." I finished before goingg upstairs without a word.

"Luke, honey." My mum knocked on the door. She came in with Calum following behind and she sat on the edge of my bed.

"I'm proud of you and no matter what anyone says, me, your father and your brothers love you so very much. I love you Luke." She smiled and hugged me.

"Now anyway, I'm gonna leave you two alone. Don't do anything you shouldn't." She winked as she left the door open behind her.
