Two Days Later (Saturday)
~
I woke up feeling extremely happy remembering that I get to see my grandma today. I look at the digital clock on the night stand and see that it's 7:52 in the morning. I look out the window that has little droplets on it, it's really dark outside. It looks like there's weather coming and to confirm my suspicions, I hear the rumbling of thunder.
I get up out of my bed and go to the dresser in the corner of the room. Austin gave me my own room when I told him I didn't really want to stay in the same room yet. He was slightly hurt when I said this, so I quickly reassured him that it wasn't because of him, but I just wasn't ready yet. He agreed after that with a little persuasion, but still put me in the bedroom right beside his.
When I get to the dresser, I realize that I don't have anything to wear. I had been wearing Austin's clothes for the past two days. I suddenly think back to Chambleigh, the only girl I know besides Thalia. She is about the same size as me, Chambleigh probably has more muscles than I do though. Probably because she's a werewolf. But other than that her clothes should fit, just until I can get some more clothes today from my house.
Austin had told me that I would have to move in with him. I refused at first because I didn't want to leave my grandma. But as if he read my mind, which I wouldn't be surprised if he could, he told me that if she wanted to, my grandma could move in as well. She would stay in the Pack House with us but on a different floor. I agreed, though I'm not sure how she will take it. Well, I'm not sure how she will take any of this for that matter.
I walk down one flight of stairs to the fourth floor. Chambleigh, Justin, and Hayden all live on this floor, along with Austin's parents. Hayden said the Alpha and his mate, which is me and Austin, live on the top floor, the fifth floor. The rest of the floors are just other rooms like, game rooms, guest bedrooms, storage rooms, and offices. Then the bottom floor is the kitchen, living room, dining room, meeting room, and guest bathrooms and such.
When I got to Chambleigh and Justin's room I knocked and about 5 seconds later the door is opened to reveal a tired-looking Justin.
"Oh, hello Luna." He said politely, bowing his head..
I scrunch my eyebrows together. "Hey, but my name isn't Luna, it's Malia." I said slightly confused.
"Oh, well I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Austin didn't tell you. Well, you are the Alpha's mate, which makes you the Luna, or the Alpha Female. You are of the same rank as Austin now. Being the Alpha Female gives you power, so you should be treated with the utmost respect. If the Alpha finds out that you haven't been shown respect, then let's just say things could get ugly." He said slightly out of breath.
"Oh, well, Austin certainly didn't tell me that. But please, call me Malia. Luna makes me feel old." I said and we both chuckle.
"Okay then, Malia," He said adding emphasis on 'Malia'."What can I do for you?" He asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
I laugh this. "Um, I was here to ask Chambleigh if I could maybe borrow some clothes from her? At least until I get some of my clothes from my house today." I said, fiddling with the hem of Austin's t-shirt .
"Sure. Let me just tell her you're here. She's in the shower." He informed me and starts to walk off toward what I'm guessing is the bathroom, leaving me standing awkwardly in the door way. As if reading my mind (I'm honestly starting to believe werewolves have the ability to read minds) he turns around and motions for me to come in. "Come in." He said and I walk in right when Chambleigh walks out of the bathroom.
"Sorry, I was in the shower. But I heard everything, werewolf hearing, and of course I will let you borrow some of my clothes. And I can do your hair and make-up and--" I cut off her rant by laughing.
