Malia's POV.

~

Austin and I both walked down the hallway and down the stairs and into the living room together. Your probably wandering why the hell I forgave Austin so fast. Well, not without playing with him a little bit. But that was because I couldn't stay upset at him for very long. And I know he didn't mean to go that far with me.

When we arrived in the living room, Grandma was sitting on the couch with a few other people watching T.V.

Nobody saw us come in, so I had to try to get her attention. "Grandma!" She looked towards us, along with everyone elses eyes. I kind of felt uncomfortable with all the attention, but I guess I did bring that on myself by practically yelling at my grandma. I focus my attention back on my grandma. "We need to talk." I said, straight to the point. When she doesn't move I sigh, "Like now."

"Oh...Oohh." She said, as if realizing what we wanted to talk about. I inwardly laugh at my grandma; she can be so weird sometimes. "Well, why don't we go somewhere a little more quiet." She said, looking at Austin to lead us somewhere more private.

"Come on, let's go to my office." He said, walking to the hallway. We follow him down a hall and up one flight of stairs. When we get there Austin opens a set of dark wood doors and leads us inside to an office, everything is mahogany. "Have a seat." He said, motioning to the cushiony seats that sit in front of the dark mahogany desk.

Grandma goes to one of the seats in front of the desk. I make my way over to the other when Austin grabs my hand and pulls me behind his desk to his chair. He sits down and then pulls me into his lap. I would never admit it to him, but this seating arrangement was actually really comfortable.

I sighed, trying to make it sound like I was irritated. "Austin, there was a perfectly empty seat right there." I said, pointing to the seat beside my grandma.

"I can see that. But when your close to me it calms me." He whispered in my ear.

I huff, "Fine." We both turn back to my grandma and see her looking at us happily. "Why are you so happy?" I ask her, confused and irritated for some reason.

This just seems to make her smile wider. "I'm just glad you have someone that loves you." She said softly. "It's just always been me and you. No one else. It's good to see you with other people."

I blush and look at Austin. He doesn't love me. I don't even love him, yet. Thats all in good time, my friends.

"Anyways," I said, trying to chang the subject. "Let's talk about all of this supernatural junk. Care to explain some of this?"

She sighs, "I guess I should start from the beginning, yes?" I nod. "Okay... so your parents were witches, I was a witch but I lost my powers a few years ago, but thats another story for another time, it's not relevent to this situation. Anyways, you are also a witch but you are a Fitsue. A Fitsue is a witch that is given a destiny. Whatever your destiny is will be given to you when you turn 18, which is when you will become a full witch. A Fitsue also has extra powers and they are more powerful than most witches combined. Your mother and father were very powerful witches so that almost makes you a Royal Fitsue. I'm not sure though. We'll have to wait and see. Furthermore, The Arubas. These are witch hunters. They have been hunting us witches down for ages. They know about you and they know what you are. The Arubas killed your parents, Malia. And they are going to try to kill you too." She said, out of breath with tears in her eyes.

Austin growls. "No one will lay a finger on her."

"Oh, I hope not, dear. I hope not." She said sadly. " I can't lose you, too."

I get off Austin's lap, much to his protest, and walk over to my grandma and hug her. "Grandma, you won't lose me, I promise."

She wipes a tear off her cheek. "I know, dear. You have a wonderful mate to take care of you." She said. I smile at her and then at Austin as I walk back over and sit in his lap. "But since they know that your a Fitsue, they will have to have a plan, and a good one at that." She adds thoughtfully.

"What do you think will be their first move?" Austin asks, arching an eyebrow.

She looks at him for a moment and then looks out the window still thinking.

"I think they've already made their first move." She said, making Austin tense up. Before either one of us could say anything, she speaks up again.

"I think we have a spy."
