"Forks??" Lola whined as the two women drove across the country for the millionth time. "Why can't we just go back to France?" She asked her sister from the passenger seat. "You know why we can't go back to France, Fred and Winnie are still living there." Winter replied as she took the closest exit, quickly pulling into the nearest fueling station. "You need anything?" Winter asked after letting out an exasperated sigh, tired of the same argument for decades. With a shake of Lola's head, Winter exited the vehicle with her deep hood casting a shadow across her face. Normally neither would be out in the sunlight, but desperate times call for desperate measures and there was a need for gas and chocolate. Though there wasn't any nutritional value in the chocolate, it made them feel like when they were children.

A couple hours had passed when the sign for Forks, Washington stated that the exit was only a couple miles out. The sun was setting in the distance and there was hardly any traffic. "STOP!!" Lola shouted in a panic causing Winter to lock up the brakes. "What's wrong?" She asked in a tone of worry. "Some.. mmm...something is wrong." Lola stated as her eyes closed so tightly, her face twisted in pain. Winter hesitated before removing her glove and placing it on the back of her sisters hand. As soon as their skin made contact Winter could see everything in her mind. Like Lola's mind was projecting the images straight into Winter's minds eye. "St..stop." Lola said weakly to her twin sister. Winter immediately tore her hand from Lola's.  Winter's abilities were helpful, but also taxing on not just the giver but for Winter as well. The sisters took a few minutes to regain their composure before continuing their journey.

"What do we do?" Winter asked, looking to Lola.

"We can't go back to Canada. And it's been at least seventy years since we were in Washington."

"But knowing what we know, aren't we in a bit of a problem?"

Lola nodded in agreement. "We don't have any other choice."

The jet black '77 Jaguar pulled into Forks right as the sun set, a few turns away from the entrance was a dirt road that lead into the forest. It had been over seventy years since anyone came down the pathway, most was overgrown with trees and rose bushes had taken over most of the road. About halfway in they parked their car and collected their personal belongings. "Last one there has to..." Winter trailed off trying to think of something clever. Lola took advantage of her sister's inability to think of something to say and gained a head start. "Has to chop the fire wood!!" She yelled back to Winter who took off like it was nothing. The two glided from tree to tree in an animalistic manner, taking advantage of the power held in their feet from over a hundred years of practice. At one point, when the sister's went their separate ways, Winter spent a decade in the Amazon's learning from other vampires. When they reunited Winter taught Lola everything she had learned.

When Winter reached the large cabin overlooking a private lake, she discovered that Lola had won. But she was frozen in place next to her black Toyota MR2 Spyder, staring at the lake. When she turned she saw what had caught Lola's attention. There were three vampires on the opposite side of the lake, staring at both of the young looking girls. "They aren't the same ones we saw." Winter whispered. "No." Lola replied before giving Winter the signal to go into the tree tops. The two all but disappeared from the intruders site, just to turn up directly behind them. The three vampires turned around to find two vampires. One with straight white hair, the other with golden brown locks with hints of red. Both had the same shade of bright gold eyes, matching the intruders. Winter could feel one of them using their powers on them. She glanced from one to another until she landed on the one. He was next to,  what they could only assume, his mate. A petite girl with brown hair in a pixie style bob. The third looked a bit older than the two mates, with a kind face and slicked back blond hair. He approached the two sisters with a calm demeanor.

"Hello. We are the Cullen's." The blonde one introduced while flashing the twins a reassuring smile.

"We have no quarrel with you. You may leave, now." Lola stated, glaring intensely at the Cullens.

"Wait!" Winter shouted before they turned to leave. "How many?"

"There are six." The female Cullen said, right after the words left her lips the three had disappeared from sight.

"Six what?" Lola asked in confusion.

"There are six people in their coven." Winter answered. "And now we have not only the previous threat but possibly a new one."

"We can handle ourselves." Lola claimed with complete confidence. "And what threat is this new coven of Cullens?"

"The older one, who did most of the speaking. I don't know what it is but I fear he may inform the other threat of our arrival." Winter spoke as she jumped gracefully from the trees, landing on the damp leaves scattered across the ground. Lola followed suit, letting her long locks flow freely from previously being in a neat bun. Both girls had equal hourglass figures and were similar in height. Being identical twins with different hair color and texture wasn't a common thing from their time.

A few hours had passed and the two had gotten the cabin cleaned and running smoothly. Winter had been chopping the firewood, while Lola was tasked with seeing everyone within Forks. She told Winter of every supernatural being in Forks, except for one. When she saw lone male vampire, she felt it was best not to make Winter worry. The way Winter was turned broke something inside her, changing her from the bubbly and cheerful young lady, like Lola, into a quiet and introverted woman.
