Xiao Zhan was cooking in his house kitchen with his mom.
"Zhan Zhan.. pass me the soy sauce.." His mother said while stirring the vegetables.
Xiao Zhan was humming a song and then he passed the soy sauce to his mother and went back to his cooking.
"You should come more often Zhan.. After your jiejie, you are the only one loved to cook with me here.. A'Cheng is useless, he doesn't like cooking at all.."
"Yeah.. Cooking is not cool... That's what he said right..?"
"Ha. Remember he was so cute while trying to say those with serious face. If I told him, he was adorable then he would've strangled me..." His mom chuckled along with Xiao Zhan.
"Why didn't you bring A'Cheng.. ZhanZhan.." His mother asked.
"It was my plan to bring him, but what can I say, he had some exams to complete. So he said, he will come after he done with his exams, so he may be here in two days..."
"Mm.." His mother hummed.
"Its okay ma.,.. Grandpa is going to be fine and I am also here right.. So don't worry..." Xiao Zhan stopped what he was doing and then went near his mother and gave her a side hug. She smiled and then flicked his forehead while saying.
"Your food is burning Zhan Zhan.."
"Ouch.." Xiao Zhan hissed and then he went back to his cooking. Suddenly they heard the sound of door opening.
"Zhan..." His father called out. Xiao Zhan reduced the flame under his cooking and then went to the front door.
"Dad..." he called..
"Zhan.. Look I bought some meat, how about we do some barbecue.." He asked.
"Ah?.. Now.. We are already prepared lunch.." Before Xiao Zhan can answer, someone answered on his behalf and when the father son duo looked back and saw Xiao Zhan's mother. Xiao Zhan's mother sighed and looked Xiao Zhan.
"Zhan Zhan.. take that and store it inside the fridge.." She said and went back to the kitchen. Xiao zhan scratched his neck nervously and gave his father a smile and then took things from his father and left after saying.
"Fresh up Dad... Lunch will be served soon.."
Xiao Zhan's father just shook his head at his wife's antics and then went ahead to get changed. They had a merry lunch with lot of small talks. Xiao Zhan talked about his work, his life at Beijing, while his parents talked about their job and what is going on in the neighbourhood like that. After the lunch, Xiao zhan's mother prepared some light food for the grandfather who was in the hospital.
"Okay.. I will give this to father and come back soon.." Xiao Zhan's father said while taking his coat from the coat holder to put it on.
"Ah.. A'Zhan.. I almost forgot, you got a letter. It was in the letter box and when I came in I took but I forgot to give you this." He took the envelop from his coat pocket and gave it to Xiao Zhan. Xiao Zhan took the letter and saw his name on the letter, when he searched for any address or name of the person who sent the letter, he found nothing.
