Chapter 41

Author's POV

"Emily.. dear.. come for breakfast..." Emily Qi's mother called out for her in the morning from the kitchen. When she didn't hear any response, she walked towards the hall and called for her. 

Emily Qi's mother was a kind and loving women who always stayed in the shadows of her husband. Even though her family was wealthy, she was a kind hearted and shy person. She didn't know how to stand up for herself and only learned how to obey her husband. She knew if she annoyed him, there is hell to pay. The only regret she had in her life is that she didn't get to direct her kids in the right way. It was always her husband who made her kids spoiled and selfish which included her daughter also.

Emily was a sweet girl once, but the influence of her father made her the way she is right now. But no matter what like any mother would, Emily's mother showered her with love and care.

"Emily.. dear.." She tried again. This time she hears the door clicking open and footsteps down the stairs.

"I am here mom.. Sorry .. I was getting ready.." Emily said with her cheerful voice and she hugged her mom as soon as she got near her. Her mother was surprised by this since her daughter is not at touchy feel type if she is not too happy. Her mother can feel the happiness radiating from her from just being near her. She hugged back and then ruffled her hair a little affectionately.

"Come dear.. I have made breakfast.." She said.

"Mmmm.. I can tell it is delicious.. I would have some ma.." Emily said and then walked towards the table to have the breakfast and coffee. She ate with utmost merry and also complimented her mother for the breakfast.

"Mom.. I am going to go US for a while. I will be back soon.. I have some things to be done there.." She said while chewing down her food.

"US? Why..? This is too sudden.." Her mother said..

"What.. is it not allowed.?" Emily asked with a sharp glare towards her. There was deafening silence surrounded them and Emily's mother was startled by her sudden mood change.

"No.. I just asked.. I am sorry dear.." Her mother said suddenly..

"That is good.. I will come back soon.." Emily smiled cheerfully soon after that like the last few minutes didn't even happen.

After completing the breakfast, Emily walked towards her car and then started it. She took the driver seat and wore the seat belt. She brought the engine to life and played her favourite playlist, that was the UNIQ songs. She loved to listen to Yibo's voice. She started singing along with it while driving towards the hideout.

Suddenly her burner phone rang and with a little bit annoyance, she attended the call.

"Hello. Zichen.. what is it..?"

"Are you on the way..?" He asked.

"Yes.. I am.. if you just hang the call I will there in like I don't know, 20 minutes..." Emily spat... Then added.

"take care of Yibo... We are leaving today... As soon as I get there.." She said and she was above the moon as soon as she got Yibo in her arms length. He threw the care up the wind and all she wanted was to be with her love and take him to her world, whether there wont be anyone who will come in between them. She disconnected the call without even bothering about Zichen's reply. She has many things to think about rather than wasting his time on Zichen. She was going to fullfill her long wish, that was to be with Wang yibo. She is not going to waste her time listening to Zichen's whining about having to guard Yibo. He should feel greatful that he get to be near her dear Yibo afterall.

After twenty minutes, She pulled her vehicle near the building. She killed the engine and got out of the car. She was practically running towards the room where Yibo was tied up. As soon as she reached there, she saw Yibo still tied to the chair.
