Chapter 43

Author's POV

Its been 40 hours since Yibo was out of surgery and He was still inside the intensive care unit under observation. Haikuan, Yixuan and Xiao Zhan came back and waiting near the ICU to get any reports about Yibo. He didn't even wake up for a moment, but doctor informed them that it was expected with the level of sedation he was in. After lot of asking, the doctor allowed Haikuan to see yibo from outside.

"Haikuan ge.. I will come in a bit.... Its a call from my home and I will be back in a minute.." Yixuan said while going outside to talk in his phone. Haikuan nodded and then was about to sit down, his phone rang.

"Hello..' Haikuan received the call.

"Haikuan.. I need you to come to the station if possible..We have some problem here.." Bowen said from the other line.

"Okay.. I will be there in a minute.. its just a small work right..? I have to be back here soon.." Haikuan said.

'Yeah.. it will be.. i cant just deal with it in phone.. sorry.."

"Its okay... Bowen... I will be there..' Haikuan said and disconnected the call.

"Xiao Zhan.. I am going outside for a bit.. if anything Yixuan is here and you can also call me.." Haikuan said.

"Its okay...Haikuan.. I will.." Xiao Zhan smiled and then said.

It was just two minutes after Haikuan left Xiao Zhan was walking back and forth in the hallway. His mind was full of thoughts.

'I don't know what I am doing here..? Should i stay or go back.. I really want to know how he is.. but i can tell his friends are not fond of me. Yixuan is civil enough but others are not so much. I guess.. i should leave.. There is no reason for me to stay.. I came here to make sure Yibo is safe and he is.. He is with his family and friends. He is fine, he is safe and protected here. I ran away from his life and I don't have any rights to be here.." Xiao Zhan thought.

Suddenly they heard some noise from the ICU. Xiao Zhan went towards the door and looked inside through the small transparent circle.

"Please.. Stay away from me..'

'Let me go.."

"Dont touch me..."

"Stay away from me.. They will kill you.. leave me alone.." Yibo was crying and scooting near a corner. He had his hands infront him in a defensive position to protect himself. The nurses were all baffled and they were at loss to what to do. Yibo 's hand was bleeding since he ripped the IV to move towards a corner. Xiao Zhan was looking at this and before he can think something, he was moving. He opened the doors of ICU and he stood infront of Yibo before he can even begin to catch on his actions.

"Yibo.." Xiao Zhan called. The terrified, red rimmed eyes of Yibo focused towards the sound and his eyes widened seeing Xiao Zhan.

"Zhan ge..." Yibo said and then suddenly looked tensed. He looked around with a fearful eyes, and then said.

"Zhan ge.. why are you here.. Go.. go.. don't stay with me.. They will kill you.. I am not worth your time..' Yibo said while trying not to cough.

"Mr. Wang.. please you need to calm down.. you are not fully healed yet.." The head nurse was saying which was completely ignored by Yibo. Xiao zhan didn't waver his eyes from Yibo and he moved a bit towards Yibo and said.

"Yibo.. you are fine.. you are safe.. I am here.." Xiao Zhan almost reached him and with a slow motions, he touched him on his hands. Yibo was about to pull away but Xiao Zhan tightened his hold a bit since he knew Yibo is really vulnerable right now, Xiao Zhan didn't know if his touch was welcome or not. But he took a risk and Xiao Zhan painfully recognize the way Yibo's muscles stiffened under his touch.
