"Honey, you are the sea
Upon which I float
And I came here to talk
I think, you should know"

"What the hell are you doing out here in this weather, hyung?"
Jeongguk did his best to scowl at the elder.
As soon as he had stepped outside the dorm, Jeongguk wanted to turn around and go straight back inside. It was windy, colder than ever, and the clouds were heavy with the promise of rain. He tucked his scarf into his coat to stop it from flicking him in the face and followed the path to the park, glumly thinking of the warm room he had left behind.
No, but really, Taehyung and his obsession with everything cold and dark drove Jeongguk up the walls. For someone who resembled a glowing ball of sunshine, you would think they would be the opposite, but nope, Kim Taehyung might look like the sun, but his eyes lit up in an entirely remarkable shade of brown when it snowed. Jeongguk understood. White, snow, ice, pretty. Except, it was not snowing right now. It was frosty and windy, and the kind of cold you felt in your bones even when you were covered from head to toe. It seeped into your skin, forming gooseflesh all over your body.
Or maybe the gooseflesh was for a slightly different reason. The kind of which Jeongguk had been frequently dismissing these days.
Sure, the guy in front of him, even in his plain old winter clothes and his brown hair messily sticking to his forehead beneath his cap, looked like if he got up and started posing for the cameras, he wouldn't look out of place.
But that was just because Taehyung was objectively beautiful. Jeongguk didn't deny it. In fact, sometimes, more often than not, Jeongguk had to shake himself out of ogling at the elder.
Taehyung stared up at him and shrugged. Jeongguk rolled his eyes. What an answer.
"Aish, hyungnim-" Jeongguk huffed, then settled on the swing beside him. "Your fascination with this freezing weather never fails to amaze me. What are you? A polar bear?"
Taehyung snorted, shaking his head. "What are you doing here, Jeongguka?"
"I have been texting you since evening," Jeongguk complained, "You didn't reply and I got worried."
Taehyung batted his eyelashes, doing a fake mock surprise. "You got worried for me? I am positively giddy with excitement!"
Jeongguk swatted his shoulder, and Taehyung's laughter echoed in the empty park. Jeongguk gulped, looking away, his skin prickling and his stomach fluttered with something unfamiliar.
Whatever.
"Jin hyung made dinner and he was asking for you," Jeongguk spoke, glancing at the elder, measuring his words. "I thought I'd come fetch you."
It was all a bit too strained in the dorm these days, the stress fueled by exhaustion was getting to everyone.
Taehyung bit his lower lip, his eyebrows slightly scrunching. "I see," he mumbled. "How did you know I was here?"
"Wasn't hard to guess."
Taehyung nodded.
"Are you mad at him?" Jeongguk pried.
"Who?" Taehyung feigned ignorance and Jeongguk sighed.
"Jin hyung."
Taehyung did not reply, pursed his lips and looked away but Jeongguk didn't miss his glistening eyes. "Of course not," he mumbled after a while. "It was my fault."
