"Cause when you look like that
I've never ever wanted to be so bad,
It drives me wild"

November waltzed in with its wintry winds and cloudy days. Packed schedules and tiring practices rarely gave time off for personal indulgences. The personal time they did get was used up in eating or catching up on much needed rest. The industry required perfection, and perfection did not come easily, but somewhere between the long hours of shuffling steps and music queues, the maknae let his heart wander towards the moody boy with bizzare theories and eccentric ways.

"Where is Taehyungie hyung?" Jeongguk enquired entering the changing room.

"I think he went to the restroom," Hoseok answered while the stylist fixed his hair.

"He is not there, I checked."

"He must be near the artist's room, he was talking to his friend," Jin looked up from his phone.

"Which friend?"
The question was instant.

"He has many friends Jeongguka."

That's the problem.

The maknae huffed and walked out, closing the door behind him. He had been searching for the elder since past twenty minutes, and he just couldn't find him.

As he neared the artist's common room, he heard it, the tinkling mirth-filled laughter which warmed the maknae's heart and filled his soul. Taehyung's laugh was irresistibly contagious and Jeongguk's lips turned into a smile on their own but it quickly turned upside down when he reached the entrance and saw the boy he had been searching for holding some other idol's hand and talking to him.

Taehyung was so lost in the conversation that he didn't even notice the youngest standing by the door.

Jeongguk had never seen a volcano in his life, but he understood what it was like to have molten lava pouring through your veins.

Taehyung was the irresistible butterfly who captivated everyone he met, much to the maknae's dismay.

Jeongguk didn't even bother to make his presence known to the elder and turned back on his heels, a scowl subconsciously adorning his face. He had been searching for the elder all over the place, and here he was giggling with his friends.

Giggling, mind you.

Jeongguk sat down on the chair with a huff, back in the changing room while the stylist put on his lip balm and fixed up his makeup.

He tried not to think about the elder.

He tried not think about how his hand held someone else's palm.

How his laugh echoed when he threw his head back in glee, probably laughing at some stupid joke the other idol said.

Jeongguk always had the inexplicable desire to keep the elder all to himself, because he knew how lovable Taehyung was, and a mortal could hardly resist his charms. But the maknae did not like to share, even though they were just friends.

Friends who occasionally cuddled.

A friend who Jeongguk wanted to kiss.

Yeah. Definitely. Just friends.

Jeongguk was staring at the mirror lost in his own thoughts when the giggling guy in question entered the room. Their eyes met for a brief second and Taehyung smiled at him, but Jeongguk quickly averted his gaze and looked elsewhere.
