I didn't go to school the day after the incident or the day after that.
I didn't pick up any of the 74 calls from Kenna. The school called my house and every call went unanswered.

 
I was in my room and only left when I needed something.
Dad hadn't even questioned me staying home. He was drunk and passed out most of the 2 days.

Thank god
My body was still recovering.

I thought about killing Elias King while he slept in his huge bed built for a king.
I'm joking...
Partially
Or cutting off all of those girls hairs.
Although I'm sure Elias was the one who told them to do it.
Probably said you can touch my hair if you spill paint on this girl.
The paint had taken so long to come out. I debated cutting my hair but eventually it all came out.
I hadn't even been to the library to clock in for work in 3 days.
I figured I had to go to school tomorrow.
I decided to call Kenna.
Ring...
Ring...
"Hello" Kenna soft voice.
"Hey Kenna" I said.
Silence
"Are you okay ?" She asked.
"I'm better now" I replied
I hadn't asked Kenna where she went that day or why she suddenly disappeared but I could tell based on her texts she had no idea that this was going to happen. Her twin wasn't even there at least from what I could tell.
"JT spoke to Elias"
My heart dropped at the mention of his name.
"JT had no idea that was going to happen. I'm so- I'm so sorry Addy" She said.
"I had no idea that was going to happen." I heard her sniffling.
This cause the sting at my eyes to grow.
"It's okay" I whispered
"You had no idea it would happen."
" I was walking and the next thing I know I'm being held back by 2 boys. I was screaming your name but you couldn't hear me"
I didn't know she was being held back.
" I had no idea I'm sorry Kenna" I whispered suddenly feeling guilty.
"It wasn't your fault and JT dealt with those 2 boys...as for Elias there wasn't much we could say to him before him and JT almsot blew up on each other."
Silence.
"You'll be at school tomorrow right" She said hopefully.
I took a minute before replying
"Yeah I'll be in school"
"I won't let anything happen to you. JT said that he has an eye out for everyone and no one will mess with you as for Elias JT and I are dealing with him. Him and JT are close really close so bare with me Addy."
"I don't expect you to do anything for me Kenna" I said because she didn't have to do anything and the last thing I wanted was her bother getting involved.
"Shut up" She said.
I couldn't help but laugh.
She did the same.
We bid goodbye and I told her I'd see her tomorrow.

As I stepped foot onto the pavement of the hell hole I once called an escape I noticed how no one looked at me.
They didn't whisper.
They didn't laugh.
They were supposed to.
What was going on ?
"ADDY" I hear Kenna yell from across the hallway.
I give her the biggest hug imaginable.
"Hello Kenna" I replied.
We began walking and I felt comfortable.
I almost forgot about the incident.
Almost.
I grabbed my stuff from my locker and Kenna grabbed hers.
We made our way to first period.
We laughed and joked the whole day. I've never felt so Free.
I learned so much about Kenna.
Her moms a surgeon and her dad owns multiple companies in London.
"We're still on for Saturday ?" Kenna questioned as we walked out the school.
I already told her yes and my dad would be home all day on Saturday.
I could take off of work.
"Yup" I said.
"Where you going now ?" She asked
"Work at the library" I replied.
"Oh yeah sorry I forgot. I was going to ask if you wanted to grab something to eat."
Mrs.Dana was going to wring my neck if I said yes but I really wanted to go.
I got paid a decent amount and Mrs.Dana always said it was my choice when I wanted to come in even though I could tell it was just for show. She really did need me to be at work. and I really wanted to go with Kenna though. I rarely ever took off of work.
"Give me a second" I told Kenna.
I pulled up Mrs.Dana's number.
"Hello" Her voice rang in the phone.
"Hey it's Addy" I said softly
"Missy you are in some serious trouble." She said loudly.
"I know I'm sorry for not being at work or calling...I was dealing with something" I said awkwardly.
The silence that overcame us was really understanding.
"Right well you don't have to come in today or anytime soon doll. Just come by to pick up your check later today and clock back in next week."
Relief floored my chest it's like she knew exactly what I needed to hear.
I said goodbye and thank you and turned back to tell Kenna.
I froze when I saw JT standing next to her. I slowly walked up to them.
"I can have lunch if you still want too" I said
"Shut up Of course I do." Kenna replied enthusiastically.
I kept my eyes downcast.
"Oh I want you to meet someone" Kenna Said.
"I don't think you've officially met...Kenna JT, JT Kenna"
"What's up" He said in a thick accent.
"Hello" I looked up to meet his stare.
His beauty only complimented his sisters.
He had beautiful features and his skin darker than his sisters glowed in the sun.
"JT is coming with us...if you don't mind obviously" Kenna said expectantly.
"No I don't mind" I replied.
"We'll ride with JT. I was originally going to take the bus but I figured we could just ride with JT because what were brothers sent on this earth for-"
"If you don't quit you'll be riding the bus all the way home"
As JT and Kenna continued the bickering I couldn't help but think about what I would've done to have a sibling.
They're there for comfort and they make you laugh and even if you argue you know that they'll always be there no matter what.
The car was nice clearly expensive. It was white and shiny.
I got into the backseat.
Red interior tainted all around me.
It was really nice.
Kenna sat in the passenger seat and JT took off from the school parking lot.
Kenna played every song from Taylor swift to Arctic monkeys.
We rolled the windows down and sang out hearts out.
It was the most fun I've had in a long time.
We stopped in front of a diner. I grabbed my wallet out of my bag and we headed towards the diner's entrance.
The waiter seated us at a booth at the back of the restaurant.
Kenna sat next to JT and I finally saw how similar they looked. Fraternal of course but the similarities were astonishing.
I sat across from them.
The diner was like a diner/bar.
It had booths all over and a hug circular bar right in the middle with broken antique stools all around it.
The booth we sat in wasn't too far from the bar.
The waiter came over.
"Hey sexy JT sup Kenna ?" The waiter seemed to be on a name basis.
Kenna scoffed at the ridiculous nickname the waiter had for her brother.
Friends maybe.
I looked up to see his face. He was cute.
"Who's this ?" He asked smiling.
"Adeline" I said.
"My friend" Kenna chirped.
"Nice to meet you Adeline" He pulled my hand and gave it a kiss on the top.
I blushed.
"Jesus Cam just take our order please" JT pleased looking disgusted.
We placed our orders.
Cameron walked away.
"So what's your story Adeline" JT asked emphasizing my name.
I wasn't used to being put on the spot.
"I- well Um" I stuttered uselessly.
What does that question even entail.
He laughed.
"Don't worry Kenna does the same CANT talk for shit."
"Yes I can !" She argued.
They began bickering again.
Thankful for the distraction I took a deep breath laughing at the ridiculous argument happening.
I suddenly lost my breath once I felt a man's presence beside me.
I knew who it was.
The color from my face drained and Kenna gave me a look. He was standing so close.
I didn't even have to look up because his voice confirmed it.
"Can I join you all" Elias asked.
