28th chapter

THE NEXT DAY
I woke up a little late today, I mean I have nothing to do, so why the fuck not. Ben's word's been replaying in my mind since he left.
Finally deciding to get out of bed, you take a very long enjoyable shower. Then start making lunch since Gracie was coming over. An hour later she finally shows up

G:hey, i got us some cake
Y/n:were you craving it?
G:noo...yeah, it looked so good I couldn't resist
Y/n:yeah, made more sense, come on.
G:so, how is your life without a job?
Y/n:not bad. I'm out every night, I woke up late today,and im taking care of myself
G:great!
Y/n:how is pregnancy?
G:not good, I'm always nauseous, I can't drink coffee or alcohol, I'm always hungry and I always have to pee
Y/n:that's delightful, you're convincing me to not have a baby ever
G:you're still a virgin, you have a long way

Y/n:i don't know him that well we went on like 3 dates. The first one was nice, the second one, we got super drunk and I almost stripped in front of the whole club. And the third one was a really weird job interview
G:woow girl your life is like a telenovela

G:so what are you going to do?
Y/n:well, i didn't make any plans for today...
G:thats not what I meant. What are you going to do about your situation? You know with mr.holland and all
Y/n: i really don't know
G:did you talk to him? Did he apologize?
Y/n:he came over two days ago, he tried to apologize, I didn't hear him, then I left him because I was running late. And yesterday He sent that bouquet*you point to it* with Ben.
G:at least he's trying to apologize
Y/n:yeah... although, Ben and I talked yesterday. He told me that mr.holland reacted that way because it already happened to him
G:what do you mean?
Y/n:he got betrayed... twice
G:really? How? By who?
Y/n:first it was his uncle, he made him sign some papers that would transfer all his shares and his father's to his uncle. He signed thinking that it was a normal paperwork. Then he moved to New York with haz and opened cherry. Before his works blow up, he let a girl that fell in love with her. But eventually she cheated on him with another company's ceo, and she was giving him all the designs that he drew.
G:ohh woow....im speechless
Y/n:i know... it's pretty crazy
G:that's what haz meant when he said that he wasn't always like this
Y/n:huh?
G:one time I asked haz why are you friends with him if your totally different? Haz is like fun and always smiling, while mr.holland is so strict and rarely laugh. He said that he wasn't always like this. He told me that he was the Funniest person ever, but life was so hard on him that he changed.
Y/n:that's also what Ben said
G:poor thing... he doesn't deserves that
Y/n:no one deserves that
G:true.. so what are you thinking?
Y/n:i don't know. It's like I get him, if his own blood and his girlfriend did that to him, why not his assistant. But at the same time, I'm still kinda hurt and angry at him
G:does this mean that you'll forgive him and go back to work?
Y/n:i dont know, i haven't decided. I need to think about it
G:take your time. Haz said that the job is still yours
Y/n:i will.

You spend some more time with Gracie talking about the company and her pregnancy. Now it's around 2pm,and you're sitting on the couch
Y/n:who you've been texting for the last hour?
G:ummm...that's haz, he's asking me about dinner
Y/n:you've been talking about dinner for the last hour?
G:yeah. You know I'm picky and pregnant, I can't eat everything
Y/n:hmmm okay
Few minutes later your phone starts ringing, so you ignore it
G:your phone is ringing
Y/n:i know but i don't want to talk to anybody, plus it's in the other room
G:go pick your phone, maybe it's an important thing.
Y/n:what could possibly happens that's so important to me?
G:i don't know.. but it doesn't matter, you should pick up your phone just in case. Last time you scolded me because i didn't pick up
Y/n:ok fine im gonna get it

You walk to your room and take your phone, Tom's name pops up on your screen. You walk back to the livingroom talking to Gracie
Y/n:it's devil holland, told you nothing impor...
What the hell?
T:devil holland, is that my new nickname?
Y/n:how did you get in? And where is Gracie?
T:she let me and left
Y/n:so you took advantage of her
T:actually it was her idea
Y/n:she's been texting you for the last hour... I'm going to kill her
You walk to the door and try to open it but it's locked
Y/n:what the heck?
T:yeah.. we're locked in here until you hear me
Y/n:give me the keys back
T:no, we have to talk first, then I'll give you your keys back
Y/n:this is harassment
T:I have no choice. I know you wouldn't give me the chance to talk if I asked
Y/n:really? I wonder why?
T:I know that I didn't give you a chance to talk and defend yourself. And I know that I don't deserves a chance, but I want to correct this big mistake that I made that cost me you

You star at him for few seconds then walk to your living room and sit on the couch. He sits besides you
T:I see you liked the flowers
Y/n:i did, i didn't like the person that sent them
T:I thought that you'd threw them away
Y/n:i thought about it, even Ben said that. But they were too pretty to end up in the bin
T:I'm glad that you liked them. How was your interview the other day?
Y/n:great!! I might get a job
T:what's the job?
Y/n: a model
T:you're not serious,right?
Y/n:do i look like im joking?
T:please tell me your interview wasn't with David Flynn
Y/n:as a matter of fact, it was
T:no, you can't work with him
Y/n:excuse me? Who do you think you are to tell what to do and not do?
T:I didn't mean it that way, of course you can do whatever you want. But David is the worst, he's a player. He sexually assaulted many models.
Y/n:i know, he kept bragging about hooking up with thousands of models over dinner. He told me that I have to do a naked photo shoot for the job appliance, and gave me a rendezvous in his studio tomorrow at 9pm
T:please tell me you're not going?
Y/n:of course not, im not stupid
T:look y/n, i know I fucked up, and no matter how much I apologize it won't be enough for you. I acted with my heart, who already experienced that in the past. But please, the least I can do is asking you to get back to your job if you want. If you don't you're totally free

You look at him without answering, he looks down then carry on
T:and I didn't came here just to apologize. I also came here to give you this

He puts a box on the coffee table that was in the bag that he brought with him. He stands up and walk to the door, he reaches for his pockets and gets the keys. He unlocks the door than turn back to me
T: i hope I'll see you soon

With that he leaves closing the door behind him. I take the box in my hand and hesitate to open it.
