Pure Poison

Chapter 4

Nile lay me gently on the ground, "are you ok?", he asked looking deeply into my eyes. "err.. yeah I think so", I said trying to take in what just happened. I looked slowly up towards Nile's face and I properly looked this time, his eyes were looking into mine but not at my eyes he was looking at my soul, The next thing happened so fast i could barely take it in, one moment i was staring at him the next his lips were on mine they we warm and filled me will joy. I looked up at him after and it was like our gaze was unbreakable, "Medusa!? Medusa!? Where are you", I heard Euryale calls a few trees away, i quickly jolted up and nearly fell back down, my legs were weak from the crushing exsperence. "I'm coming", i called and i turned around to say my goodbye to Nile, but he was already gone.
I hurried over to Euryale, "are you ok that thing grabbed you so quickly, the next moment we looked you were gone!", She said looking quite worried. I was to busy thinking about what just happened with Nile that I totally ignored what she just said, I just couldn't get the feeling of his lips playing on mine out of my head. "are you even listening?", I snapped out of my stare and quickly brought my mind back to the present, "er.....oh yeah I'm fine just a bit shaken up but Nile helped me so I'm ok now", I quickly said and swiftly moving on before she started to ask questions about what happened and where Nile had gone.

We wondered back to the village Stheno was waiting for us out side Athena's temple, she was leaning on one of the pillars with her eyes dozing of in the heat of the warm sun. "hey, we're back", Euryale exclaimed with a bit to my enthusiasm and woke Stheno with a jolt. "oh, I hoped the centaur had at least eaten you to Euryale, your a pain up the backside", "Ha! just because your jealous of my beautiful sing voice and beauty", Euryale started to dance around Stheno twirling her hair, trying to mock her, me and Stheno sniggered. "what's so funny?!", she stopped dancing and looked straight faced at me and Stheno, "it's just...... your not really that good at singing", I said before Stheno could but in with a rude comment. "jealousy!", Euryale said while walking off to who knows where. "see you at dinner", I said to Stheno she gave me a nod and with that I walked over to my villa.

first I I wanted to get my bow and arrows I don't like being disarmed, it makes me feel vulnerable. I grabbed my bow then had a thought, I rushed out the villa and headed down into the dark forest, a few minuets later Pitch came galloping out. "hey Pitch, your coats looking nice today", I said running my hand down his black gleaming neck. "Come on then let's go exploring", with that I jumped up onto His back, grabbed the reins and kicked him into a fast canter.

I love the feeling of riding through the woods fast, the feeling of danger and death right on your tongue. The trees miss your face by inches as Pith quickly darts out of the way, he's lives it to the feeling of freedom. I continued to head on through the forest, when suddenly a familiar brown horse darted out o the trees, "woah!!", said a voice I knew and my gaze drew me right to him. "Nile!? I didn't think you would be out so late in the day?", I said in confusion, "well it's so much more dangerously fun riding near dusk", he smiled at me.

Suddenly we heard a huge howl, both of us looked at each other in horror, blood wolfs! they were one of the horrors of the dark forest, they were an accident made by Hades, they were some of the tests to try and create blood hounds to work for him to hunt down people who tried to evade death but instead of making blood hounds he made the blood wolfs and they were wild, instead of putting up with them he released then into the dark forest, to be someone else's problem.

We steered our horses around and galloped the other direction, we were gaining good distance when we heard the wolves catching up on us. we didn't see the slope and our horses tripped we went tumbling down the ditch, Nile's brown horse got up and galloped of in fear, Pitch said to me,"go and hide with Nile I will steer the wolves off you track", "will you be ok?", I asked, "look I'm a shadow horse, I'm more powerful then them they can't harm me, go now". Me and Nile headed forwards an found a good bank covered in moss so we hid under it.

I was pressed up to Nile's warm chest, he felt so warm and good. I turned to him and started to kiss him, I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he kissed me harder, with one hand on my back and one holding my head, he felt so good and he was so comforting, it was like our kiss earlier on in the day, it was so right and he cared so much for me. I pulled away and said "I love you", I said embracing him as he kissed my neck. "I love you too Medusa and I have always loved you", he said to me in the low handsome voice he always talks in. We kissed some more and I never wanted to pull away again but it was getting dangerously dark and you don't want to be in the dark forest at night. we headed back and I kissed him a good night kiss before we parted.

I knew that now I didn't need to worry for my safety for I have him to look after an love me.
