The fresh breeze blew through as the sweet smell of nectar filled the air signaling that spring would soon be approaching. Walking towards the paved path of the park and away from the parents cheering their children on, Spencer and Olivia decided to take a walk while Dillon's team had been winning most of the game.

It sort of became a routine for the both of them and something they enjoyed doing almost every weekend when they weren't busy. Since Dillon played for the local YMCA, his football team would usually play on the weekends. Which Spencer much rather enjoyed as he was always able to attend his little brother's games before or after work.

But today he really couldn't focus on the game, rather the big news he'd just received right before. He wanted to call Olivia but instead opted to wait knowing that he'd rather tell her in person. And since she never missed one of Dillon's games he knew she'd come. So instead of waiting to tell her, he asked if they could go grab coffee and take a walk.

Light pressure was felt on his arm as he had felt a nudge a few seconds later. Turning his head he was met with a pair of browns smiling back at him. "So what's the big news you need to tell me about?". Olivia wiggled her eyebrows knowing something had been on her boyfriend's mind.

It was unusual to see Spencer quiet so Olivia knew whatever he wanted to talk about had been either really good or really bad. She was hoping for really good and judging by the smile that threatened to spread on his lips at her question, she knew it was good.

Spencer scrunched his eyebrows wondering how she'd known but didn't question it, and instead, he sipped his coffee they bought at the concessions stand right before they started their walk through the park.

"The coach from Ohio came to visit me this morning,". Spencer started, noticing the smile falter from Olivia's lips but not fast enough for him to notice if he wasn't paying attention. "This morning?". She asked turning to look at him as if he'd been mistaken. Spencer smiled. "This morning,". Olivia turned to look at him. "This must mean it's good news then right? I mean when does any coach really visit someone's house unless they are delivering good news,".

Olivia rambled thinking of all the scenarios on why the coach would come and visit Spencer. He smiled as he'd always loved when Olivia rambled. But he gave her a nod and a rub on the arm to reassure her that it was in fact good news. Great news even. "It is,". Spencer thought back to the conversation he had earlier with the head coach of Toledo and was still in shock for the most part. Olivia stayed quiet so Spencer could continue and after another minute or so, he did. "He wanted to personally offer me a spot as a true freshman,".

Olivia knew a lot about football since her father was in the NFL, so she learned some terminology over the years. She also heard her brother and father talk about it a lot at the dinner table and one of them being a true freshman. She didn't know much about it only from the conversations she couldn't help but overhear. But from what she heard, she knew it had been a big deal, and an offer like that doesn't come around every day.

"Baby, that's big! Did you accept? Of course you accepted because why wouldn't you accept. Please tell me you accepted it?".

Olivia asked rambling on about accepting the offer until Spencer placed his hands on her arms stopping her in her tracks. "I'm rambling again aren't I?". Olivia caught herself when Spencer just smiled at her. "You know I love it when you do it, but I could never keep up,". Olivia giggled. "So did you accept?". Spencer let go of her arms while Olivia slipped her hand in his pulling him towards one of the nearby benches.

Spencer sighed still weighing out his options. Which he really didn't have any. But to move to Ohio and leave his mom, Dillon, Olivia, Coop had never been apart of his five-year plan. His dream was always to play for UCLA, but those dreams quickly faded leaving him with limited options. Leaving five months early was also never apart of his plan, but Spencer is quickly learning that sometimes plans change, and sometimes it's out of his control.
