As soon as those words rolled out of Nivah's mouth, Rahul took that as a queue to run off the office leaving Krishiv and Nivah alone. Krishiv looked startled to see how Rahul is following her commands in just a word. Before he could think through it he felt a hand taking his wrist and grabbing him to the nearest empty conference room.
Krishiv was taking notice of the entire conference room which was broken due to a ' click ' sound. He turned around to see Nivah locking the door.
"Look, Ms. Aurora -"
"You look Krishiv. I told you already to call me Nivah yet you call me Ms. Aurora,"
"It doesn't matter,"
"Oh trust me, it does,"
"Quit it. Now tell me why I am here? Because I have somewhere else to be, a more important one," saying so he started moving towards the door.
Nivah only chuckled, "Why do I feel that you always run away from me?"
Krishiv paused and realized it is the truth. It is he who always finds reasons to run away from her. This is the third meet for them and every time it is he who finds ways to go away from her. Without facing Nivah, Krishiv smiled at the irony. He always wants her around him, when she is not, he turns into a caveman in his head, and when she is near him, he finds ways to run away from her.
The truth is, Krishiv wants to know how persistent Nivah can get to have his attention or him. From childhood, it was him always him running around all over the house to get attention from anyone. As he grew up, he understood that whatever he does everyone had their own shit to deal with, so he stopped trying.
As a young man, he got all the attention from the outside world. The golden boy with the mysterious aura. No one looked past his facade except for Neil. Heck, he is still persistent and is like a leech stuck on his skin. But is Krishiv complaining - No.
All the others are there with him for their personal benefits. He learned to turn a blind eye. But girls were not in his book. For him, it was only a hook-up with no strings attached. But with Nivah and her tenacious behavior towards him made him look at her on a more personal level.
And no, this is not needed to be known to Nivah. He had it in his head and that is enough. There is no need to tell out loud, especially not to the woman who had more command over him than anyone he had ever met.
