Shiloh got up and left. I felt bad... But I just don't want her sending money. I found a place that I figured she would like and I went to the living room, she wasn't there. I scratched Blaze behind the ear and waited a couple minutes. I didn't want to go to her room and seem creepy or anything. After about 15 minutes, I decided to go upstairs. I saw her door was cracked, she was laying on her bed. I knocked on the door.

"Come in." she mumbled. I opened the door more and stood in the doorway.

"I want to apologize if I hurt your feelings." she shook her head at me.

"You didn't, I just-. I don't know how to explain it. I'm just feeling eh." she sat up.

"I understand that. I found a place I figured you would like. If you wanna go, of course."

"Depends, what place?"

"The Italian and seafood restaurant that's downtown."

"I've never been there. Dad said it was too expensive..." her eyes went down.

"As I said, I'm paying for it. Don't worry about the price." she nodded slowly, almost reluctantly.

"Okay..." she put her shoes on and stood up.

We put Blaze in his kennel and left in my car. Shiloh seemed really nervous, I didn't really know what to do. I turned on the music and the car ride was silent except the radio. We got to the restaurant, we parked and I got out and opened the door for Shiloh. She got out of my car and we walked into the place. It was really nice. They seated us at a booth in a corner. Shiloh just kept her head low and stayed quiet. The waitress came over to us, making her sit up an put a smile on her face.

"Good evening, my name is Rebecca, I'll be your server for tonight. What can I get you two to drink?" she looked at Shiloh.

"I'll just get a water, no lemon, please." Rebecca wrote it down.

"And for you, sir?"

"I'll also get a water, no lemon." she wrote it down and smiled at us before leaving. Shiloh went back to being shy. I smiled a little at her.

"Are you alright?" she nodded while flipping through the menu. Rebecca came back with the drinks.

"Here you go. Are you you guys ready to order your food?" we nodded and turned toward Shiloh.

"I'll just have the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp." she wrote it down.

"I'll have the steak and lobster tail." she took the menus and walked away. Shiloh started fidgeting, picking at her nails. I gently put my hand on hers to make her stop. She looked down.

"S-sorry."

"It's ok, do you want me to sit next to you?" she hesitated before nodding. I sat next to her and she scooted towards me. I put my arm around her.

"S-sorry.. I just feel safe around you.."

"It's okay. Is there anything in particular that's causing your anxiety to spike?" she pulled out her phone, her hands were shaking so bad. She started typing in notes.

I see my mom's boyfriend. He keeps looking at me. I nodded and pulled her close.

"It's ok, I got you. He's not going to get you." I whispered to her. Shiloh leaned into me and kept trying to compose herself and even her breathing. I've dealt with her having anxiety attacks at lessons, so I like to think I'm decent at helping out. She took in a deep breath and sighed before looking up. I tried to see what she was looking at, it was a man across the restaurant. I rubbed my thumb on her arm.

"Is that him?" she nodded and looked away from him. I quickly studied his features to remember what he looks like. She sat up a little more, I took my arm from her shoulders. She put her hand on my arm. Rebecca came back with our food, she placed them in front of us.

"Here you go." she smiled at us and walked away. I kept glancing at the man across the room. I'm waiting to see if he leaves before or after us. Shiloh started eating a little, mostly poking her food and moving it around with her fork.

"If you want, I can get the check and we can go home and eat."

"I- I would like that." I started eating a little and we waiting for Rebecca to come back by.

"Hey, guys. Does everything look good?"

"Yes, ma'am. I was wondering if we could get the check and some to-go boxes. Something came up." she nodded and left. She came back with the boxes and the check. I paid for it and left her a good tip. We put up our food and got up to leave. I put my arm around Shiloh, hold her next to me as we walked by the man. When we got into the car Shiloh sighed heavily, as if she was holding her breath.

"I'm really sorry, Zack. The restaurant was really nice and the food is amazing, I just couldn't be in the same room as that man." she started rambling.

"Don't apologize, hon. It's okay. It wasn't worth staying in there if you weren't going to enjoy yourself." she nodded and looked down. We pulled up to her house. We got out of the car and went inside the house. Blaze was wagging his tail like crazy when he saw Shiloh. She opened the kennel to let him out and sat on the couch next to me. We started eating.

"You like it?" I asked.

"Oh, my gooddddd. It's so good." she smiled at me. I laughed a little and we finished eating. I got up and put the boxes in the trash. When I came back to the living room, Blaze was in my spot.

"Listen here, bud. We are gonna have to talk about this." Shiloh giggled and moved him so he was on the other side of her. I sat next to her.

"So, now what do you want to do?" she shrugged.

"We can watch movies, but I do need to finished homework."

"That's right, you did mention that." she stood up.

"You can come with me." Blaze and I followed her to her room.
