Jane and I were sitting in their back yard waiting for the other guests to arrive. I whispered to him "no one has commented about a baby yet" he smiled and said "its funny maybe they haven't noticed".
A group of guests arrived and the party started. Patrick and I walked over to get a drink. Grace was also getting a drink and noticed that I didn't get alcohol and looked at me with a questioning face, I just smiled so she said "we'll talk later".
We continued to enjoy the rest of the party. The guest had all left so it was just Patrick and I left. We started to help clean up as Grace and Wayne were putting their kids to bed. They came back and Grace said we need to talk.
We all sat down in some of the chairs. Wayne looked confused so he didn't know yet when Grace just said "are you?" Jane and I knew what she meant and we laughed and said said "yes with twins actually". Wayne realised and said "congrats guys", Grace asked us "why didn't we say anything?". Jane answered for me and told her "we were seeing how long it would take for people to notice". I showed her a photo of the ultrasound that I had in my bag. Grace said "people will start to notice soon as I can just see the bump". We sat around talking about the twins for a bit before leaving.
