Mark's POV
Larah slumps to the ground when the spell hits her and I get really angry. "Weasley! You're a git." I point my wand at him. "Stupefy!"
Unfortunately he ducks out of the way and the spell hits his sister Ginny. I gasp totally not meaning to do that. Oh no now I'm really in for it, I think to myself. "Noble! How dare you!"
I glare at him. "It's all your fault Weasley!" I use my wand to levitate both Larah's and Ginny's bodies to the hospital wing. As I help them over I hear Potter talking to the rest of them. "Tryouts are postponed for tomorrow afternoon. We need Ginny."
I just shake my head disgusted with the lot of them. I'm starting to wish I was in Slytherin and not Gryffindor. They're all just idiots. Once I get them to the hospital wing Madame Pomfrey rushes over. "Oh my! What happened here?"
"They were both hit from the same spell," I tell her.
Madame Pomfrey helps me put them on separate beds before checking them over for injury. "I think they should be okay but they should stay here overnight just to be sure."
Nodding I sit in a chair between the two beds. "Okay thanks."
That's when I hear Ginny mumbling something. I lean in closer to hear her. "Mark, Mark, Mark. No! Love you."
My eyes go wide. Ginny loves me? I thought she loved that black boy Dean. I try to hear what else she had to say. "Mark....." the next part came out as a whisper. "Kiss me."
I pull back quickly like I been burned. Oh my god. I can't believe this. My very first crush loves me. Then I notice her eyes start to open. I look over at Larah to see that she's still passed out. "Where am I?" Ginny asks softly.
I really wanted to take her hand but I wasn't sure how she would take it. "You're in the hospital wing Ginny."
She frowns. "Hospital wing? What happened?"
"I accidentally hit you with stupefy instead of your brother."
"Oh right. He was being a git. I'm sorry about that."
"Don't be sorry Ginny. It wasn't your fault." I finally take her soft hand in mine. I notice the little red freckles dotting her skin. She's always been so beautiful.
She smiles over at me. "Is Larah okay?"
"Madame Pomfrey said both of you should be okay but to stay here overnight just to be sure."
Ginny nods at me. "Right."
"So what were you dreaming about?" I finally get the courage to ask.
She blushes a deeper red than her hair. "You," she barely whispers out.
Grinning I lean in closer to her. "You love me don't you?"
Ginny looks at me again as she trembles. "I think so."
That's when I realize Ginny is the one I loved all along. I think Larah was just a buffer to help me over. "Oh Ginny I love you too."
A gasp sounds from behind me. I turn quickly to see Larah staring at me her face as white as a sheet. "Larah! You should lie down," I say hoping she didn't hear me.
Tears roll down her face as she continues to stare at me. "How could you?" Before I could say anything she gets up and runs out.
"Larah! Wait!" I shout after her but it's useless. I already screwed things up with her big time.
Larah's POV
My eyes start to flutter open when I hear "Oh Ginny I love you too." I sit up quickly gasping as I feel my heart tear apart into two pieces. Mark turns around to see me and I just glare at him.
"Larah! You should lie down," he tells me.
"How could you?" I couldn't look at him anymore as I get up quickly running out.
I just run, run, run away wanting to be left alone. Hands stop on my shoulders and I whirl around to give that person my wrath of anger. "Leave me alone!"
"Larah! Just chill out okay?" I look up into Blaise's face.
"What do you want Blaise? I'm glad you saved me that day but I'm really not in the mood to talk right now got it?"
"Whatever Larah but I wanted to tell you about the Triwizard Tournament. If you're too busy to listen I'll just tell you later."
I just sigh crossing my arms across my chest. "Alright fine. Just tell me."
"I don't think now is a good time. I think you need to cool off first."
"Larah!" I hear from another direction.
Oh my god why does everyone have to bother me now? Turning to my left I see Dakota coming towards me. I smile a little since we used to be friends last year. This year I've barely seen her at all. Then again I totally changed my appearance so that made me a whole new person.
"Dakota can we please talk later? Now is not a good time."
"Oh yeah I guess." She lowers her head walking the other way.
After she leaves I notice Blaise is still here. "I need some time alone."
"Fine I'll just talk to you later then," he says before I walk outside to the lake. That's the only place where I can actually think in peace.
I sit on the edge just staring out at the rippling waves as I meditate.
