JENNIE
We're still here by the cliff. Lalisa has her head on my chest while we watch how the clouds goes by.
Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes.
"Jennie? You awake?"
"Yeah, I am."
She stirs but does not get up. "Wake up."
"Huh? What do you mean Lalisa."
"Jendeukie, wake up!"
"You need to wake up Jennie."
I want to open my eyes, but I can't. I want to look at her, but my eyes remains shut.
"Lalisa, wake up from what? I'm awake, just has my eyes close." I state holding her hand clasping it together.
"You have to wake up Jennie... this... this isn't your world. So I'm begging you, wake up." I don't understand Lalisa. Why is she telling me to wake up? I'm clearly awake. But my eyes won't budge open.
"Jennieyah! Wake up! Come on! Wake up now! This is not fair! We still have to go for that concert remember?"
I felt Lalisa loosening our hands that are clasped together. "Lalisa, what are you doing?"
"You won't be able to wake up if you're holding me like this. I can't let you stay here Jennie. You need to wake up."
I shake my head trying to stand up but I can't. "Lalisa, this isn't funny. Where are you?!" I raised my voice, feeling Lalisa out of my side.
I'm crying.
"Jennieyah please wake up now! I'll be a better unnie to you!"
"P-please don't go... Lalisa please." I raised my hand looking for her. Tears are streaming down my face, voice cracked as I speak. "H-hold my hand please Lalisa."
And she did.
Her hand, so soft, so gentle, so... cold.
"Jennie, I need you take a deep breath and relax yourself. Once I remove my hands off you, open your eyes." Lalisa instructs. Although confused, I still followed her.
Taking a deep breath, and relaxing my tensed body, Lalisa speaks again.
"Remember my name Jennie, remember my face, just remember me." I can feel her slowly remove her hand from mine and feel her lips on my forehead. "Remember me."
And she completely removes her hand from mine, and just like she said, I should open my eyes.
My heart beats painful as I slowly open my eyes.
White.
I fully open it.
A white ceiling, a four corner room. A hospital room.
"Jendeukie! Mom! Dad! Jennie's awake!" I looked around and saw Jisoo unnie running towards me and hugged me. "Oh my gosh Jennie, I thought you'd never wake up."
How did I get here?
"Jennie, honey..." It was mom, she kisses my forehead and stroke my hair. "Does something else hurt?"
I shake my head, then later on, the door opened revealing dad and a doctor.
"Sweetie, you're finally awake." Dad kissed my forehead just like mom and smiled before the doctor came near me.
The doctor checks my eyes nodding.
"Do you remember your name?"
I nod.
