Parents(again)

"You two are what?" Levi said as he sat on the couch in disbelief, a book in his hand which was lied on the couch.

"Dad, c'mon. Me and eren are dating. I know you heard me." Armin said, crossing his arms at his father. He knew there would be some complications with telling him this.

Eren stood awkwardly to the side, his eyes down to the floor.

"There are so many people in this world." Levi said as he rolled his eyes and picked his book back up and read it.

Armin frowned, he didn't like that Levi was acting like a dick. It was annoying.

"You know what, I'm gonna find papa. I'm sure he can talk some since into you." Armin stormed off into his other dads room, going to talk to him instead.

But sadly, he forgot eren was standing there in the living room.

"...uhm. So I-"

"I don't want to hear your voice right now. It's giving me a migraine." Levi said, his voiced laced with annoyance and anger.

So eren stood quietly, not knowing what to do.

"You don't have to stand there looking like an idiot. Sit down." Levi's voice changed, his anger was gone. He looked up from his book and patted the spot next to him.

Eren sat down, but kept his distance.

Levi and erens relationship wasn't ever the best. When Armin was first adopted by them, eren had came over to visit once. And the person who answered the door was Levi.

"You're here to see Armin?" Levi said, his voice had deepened, and that intimidated eren, like a lot.

"Uh, yessir!" Eren said, a nervous smile plastered onto his face. He had came over to work on a project the two boys had to do together at school, and the due date was tomorrow.

Levi had led eren inside and took him to Armins room, where he was already working on the project himself.

"Oh, hey eren! Where's mikasa?" Armin asked, looking around for his other friend.

"She said that she was working with someone else. I think her name is Sasha." Eren responed going to sit down on the floor where Armin was.

"Oh ok! Oh, dad! You've met eren right? We're you nice to him?" Armin said, looking at Levi.

"Yes, I was nice." Levi said, a smile barely showing on his face. Armin smiled at him and put a thumbs up.

"Good!" Armin said.

Levi left Armin alone with eren and let them work on there project. Everything was going well. He listened as the two boys laughed with each other.

He decided to go and make dinner, for when the two boys came out and decided they were hungry. So he made sandwiches.

But when the two boys came out of the room, they looked sad, and Levi didn't like that.

"Uh dad? Uhm, so eren and I were finishing our project and he accidentally spilled the glue on the floor. And we tried to clean it up but the paper got stuck to the floor and now we have to start over. But it won't be finished by tomorrow." Armin said with a sad face.

Eren stood beside him, holding one arm with the other, looking down.

"I'm sorry dad, we didn't mean to." Armin looked down.

Levi squatted beside his child and put a hand on his shoulder. "It's not your fault." He said, eyeing eren. To which eren looked away in shame and embarrassment.

From that point on, Levi took notice to how much eren messed things up, how he ruined things for armin. He didn't like that for his child. And he most definitely, did not like eren.

"Armin wouldn't forgive me if I didn't talk to you. So don't think your special." Levi didn't look at eren, he kept his eyes on his book.

"...sir, I'm sorry about all I've caused. But I'm better now. I work at the library and I learned how to not be clumsy anymore if that changes anything." Eren said as he looked at Levi.

"Kid, I don't care about the clumsiness anymore. I'm...just not ready." Levi put the book down. He looked at eren with a straight face.

"Hm?" Eren said with a questioning face.

"Armins my little boy. And he's smart and sweet. And I always knew that there was something special about you and that other girl. He didn't like anyone else but you two. And I just wasn't ready, still not, for him to grow up." Levi ended with a sigh and crossed his arms.

"I know Erwin doesn't give a damn, he just wants Armin to be happy. So I guess I can do the same. So," he looked away from eren and out his head down. "You can..date him.

Eren was astonished. He didn't do anything and Levi basically told him how he was feeling. He wasn't just a cold face staring into erens soul. He told him why he felt this way. He was happy. Very happy.

"Really? Thank you so much sir, I'm really greatful!"

"I told you already, you're not special. This is for Armin."

"Dad.." Armin came around from the corner he had been standing at, and he smiled at his father, going to give him a hug. "So it wasn't just about the science project?"

Levi smiled at his son. "No, that was part of it. But no." He hugged him back.

"Levi, you need to let them be with each other! There's nothing wrong with eren-"

"Erwin you're late." Levi said, still enjoying the hug with his son.
