"you again, you again. don't you have any other thing to do other than hurting your schoolmate?" the officer stood straight in front of her with his deep frown and folded arms.
she kept her head down, covering her pissed-off face.
yes, no matter how charming this officer looks like but still, he pissed her off. "have you gone mute, kim sora? ah, beautiful name ... "
now, you hear yourself how annoying this officer was. she looked up with an uninterested face, "no, don't worry. i can talk very well, but talking to you wastes my time."
the officer showed no reaction as he was already used to it, "now, we just have to wait for your old man to come here and do the money talk to clear your name off the list." he walked to his seat and sat down with a sigh.
see, sora's father is a businessman. not that well-known but kind of well-known .. you know what i mean? name, reputation and money are the only things that matter to him.
"so, why did you hurt her?" she looked up to face the handsome officer, "she is ugly–" he showed his unamused face and sighed.
he must be tired of her shitty answer because his face obviously spoke for it.
"–okay okay, she said i'm not normal and a freak."
he smirked and leaned back in his chair, "at least, she was right ..."
this bitch ...
suddenly, the door opened with a loud slam and there, her father came in and went straight to her with a scowl on his face. the first thing he did was hit her head with a bunch of curses he knew.
the girl just stared at the floor, the uninterested expression she had earlier completely absent.
and the officer observed them. the way she would flinch over the old man's hand that was near to her neck and the way her eyes gazed at his wrinkly hand.
the officer knew them too well.
those eyes ...
fear.
tsk, ugly abusive bastard ... the officer thought.
"mr. kim, welcome back. your daughter is here with the same case as before but this time it's worst. the victim almost got killed." he stated calmly while looking at the ugly old man.
"tsk, she's not my daughter! she's a fucking disgrace in kim's family!" he spat out.
i hate you.
"then you are not my fathe–"
"kims shut up!" the officer said sternly, catching the two's attention. after all, it was the police station and they were inside his office, so they can't do anything as they pleased.
the officer rolled his eyes "okay then, i just want to warn you that this time i won't be accepting your money to clear her name."
"come on ... aren't you a bad boy?" the ugly old bastard raised his eyebrow.
he just smirked and raised his eyebrow, "yeah, i bring heaven to some but not you. now, fill out this form, mr. kim. i need to send the report and she will be put under arrest."
am i really going to jail? fuck. she muttered under her breath.
the old man tensed up, grinding his teeth together and gazed down. the officer noticed the father's frown and by his troubled expression, he knew the older kim was thinking ways to maintain his good name.
no, he wouldn't want to have a daughter who lives up to his name with problematic issues.
the officer cleared his throat and began talking again, "or maybe, i could help you ..."
"help what?" mr. kim asked a bit desperately and irritation plastered on his visage with a clenched jaw.
"name. i can remove her name. all of them. and get her a clean record but you need to agree this one term," his finger pointed at the teen who was having a staring competition with the floor, uninterested in the conversation.
the officer noticed the changed expression on the older kim's feature and he knew he did the right thing by suggesting the idea.
"well then ...how much do you need?"
how much? is he going to sell me or what?
sora stood up with anger showed on her face, "are you really going to fucking send me a–"
"shut the fuck up sora!" mr. kim turned and hit her face with the paper that the officer told him to fill.
glad the officer had his own office. "kims this is my office, not a child care center for you to do anything you want. now, mr. kim, please focus on our discussion."
so, both of them sat down. the officer leaned his body forward and his hands went into vincenzo mode, both hands interlaced together,
"i know this one place that you can send your daughter here and she will come back well-behaved, a good girl that would even help an old woman cross the street."
mr. kim quirked his eyebrows, "sounds interesting ... so do i need to fill in any form?"
the officer pulled out a sheet from his many drawers and settled it on his desk, "here is the agreement paper, sign it and you're done. and if you agree to this, she will be needed to go and stay with him for some months. i'll give you time to read them and you can decid–"
"give me the pen."
the man already signed the agreement before the officer could explain to him warnings he should be concerned about. so ...he basically just blindly handed her daughter over a man that he didn't even know who.
the pen he held earlier was harshly settled on the desk. the man stood up, pulling his daughter's arm vigorously, making her stumble out of her seat.
the kims walked out of the office with a loud slam of the door.
the room now enveloped in silence.
the man relaxed back on his chair and dialled a number from his phone with a giddy feeling. he could barely stop the grin that tried to spread on his charming face.
"yo, i got a very very very good news for you ..."
"what."
the response might seem harsh. but he knew better that it doesn't mean that way with the response that was carried by the deep honey-like voice from his phone.
he's excited too.
"i think i just got you a gift. yes, that gift."
officer park had someone in mind already. someone that could handle her perfectly and he was sure that they would complete each other.
finally.
officer park jongseong had a very very good idea.
