22. I KNEW

CAIN POV

"What the fuck is wrong with you cain"? Wilson asked, looking at Cain as he tried to bottle up the angry oozing out of him.

"What the fuck are you doing here, aren't you out of the country"? I asked still shocked with his appearance back in town, and not just in the town but in Aubree school.

"Thank the moon, I made sure none of you knew I was back. I knew my instinct don't lie". He said, as he drag the kid out of the janitor closet before throwing his unconscious body on his shoulder.

"What do you mean by your instinct, you should have told me or Frederick about your arrival". I said following him as he head in the direction of the school clinic.

"I knew, you were going to do something drastic, that's why i took precautions". He said. I looked at the back of his head while giving him a confusing look.

"Dont give me that look, I knew something like this would happen. Remember you can't hid anything from me." He said. These was what Frederick was trying to warn me about but Wilson is taking this well, he looks well guided as if he was expecting this to happen. I should have know that nothing passes through his nose.

"I predicted that once aubree begins to get close to her eighteenth birthday she would be brought back to the pack, so I already prepared for that knowing fully well that you were going to act out of plan. I was hoping you wouldn't but knowing well how an alpha male can be, so I decided not to risk it. Me travelling was a cover story to get to Aubree before you. Since Aubree returned I have been following her to make sure I don't see you anywhere near her for you to spoil our plan. What I wasn't expecting is you applying to work in the same school she attends." As I heard the words he spoke I try as much as possible to hold in the growl building within my chest. How dare him monitor what is mine, nobody has the right to do that except me.

I growled at him as I push his back to the wall making the head of the kid he is dragging hit the wall with a loud bang. He growled back at me showing off his canines, feeling threatened by his elongated canines, my wolf shows his canines telling him he is still an Alpha wolf even if it human self will do nothing to harm the lycan, he won't hesitate to do the harm itself with or without my consent.

"Cain stop behaving irrational" Wilson said has he tried to keep his lycan from lashing out at me. He push my body off his as he continued in the direction of the clinic.

As we get close to the entrance Wilson placed his hand of the kid head erasing every encounter he had with us minutes ago. We hand over the kid body to the nurse, telling them he got injured during PE.

After dropping the kid off we left the school buildings not before erasing Aubree memories and putting her in the toilet and placing a out of service sign board in front of the toilet stall she occupied.

The three of us sat round the table of a cafe which wasn't far from the hospital I work in. Frederick suck noisily on the straw of the milkshake drink we got.
With a loud bang on the table, which attract the attention of other customers to our table. Wilson tries to stop the noise Frederick is making with the straw, Who turned blind eyes to irritation on Wilson face and deaf ears to the loud bang on the table. Reaching his hand to the cup with Frederick, Wilson took it and smashed the remaining milkshake on the floor. Gasps from other tables filled the cafe, I try not to growl at them as their constant stares start to get me agitated. A waiter comes quickly to clean up the mess made by Wilson while another came with another milkshake to give to Frederick.

"Thank you gorgeous". Frederick said giving the female waiter a flirting smile, I look at the waiter in amusement as she blush at him blinking her eyes trying to look cute. She leaves our table, I can smell her lust, I scoffed at her back before shaking my head in disgust.

"I swear to the moon if you suck noisily on that straw I will punch you to death". Wilson said, glaring furiously at Frederick.

"Like you can do anything ". He resorted. Wilson moves to grab the milkshake, before he hand is was batted away by Frederick. If look could actually kill Frederick will be dead.

"Guys, why are you been childish, I mean we are not here to bicker like kids, we are even drawing attention to our table, and you know we don't want that anytime soon. Why don't we leave here to the closest bar to discuss why we came here in the first place." I said to them. With a nod from them we pack up our stuff and pick our jacket from the rack before leaving the cafe.

Finding a seat far from prying eyes, we settled to discuss the issue at hand.

"ok Wilson, for how long have you fucking thought about these bizarre Ideas, are you for real, why would you be following my Mate like a goddamn psycho." I said glaring at him, no one has the right to following her like a psycho except me. He even touched her back then in school. Thinking about it now is making me go bicker, I haven't even had the opportunity to touch her, why would he touch what is MINE!

"I wonder still it over and over again, I'm so glad I planned this ahead of time, unless all our plans would have gone down hill. I specifically told you not make yourself know to the girl, not to even try to get close to her". He said

"She doesn't even know me and I'm not trying to get close to her" I replied.

"Are you sure, are you really sure?" Frederick asked giving me a mischievous smile while raising his eyebrow like a clown.

"Shut you goddamn mouth, she might have see my wolf but I left immediately before she could say anything, she doesn't even know how I look like in my human form and I dont think any wolves is aware of how I look like in my human form. Moreover my scent are well concealed, it will be so hard for even an alpha to identify me." I said irritatedly.

"I don't think your scent are well covered, any alpha male can smell you out, if he catch whiff of your smell". Wilson said.

"Aubree coming back to town is not helping your case at all. You are not even helping matters by trying to get close to her. You know this very moment is a critical one for us. We can afford to make any mistake at this stage". Wilson said giving me a serious look.

I try avoiding his gaze cause I know what he said his very true, but I can't help it. I mean who will see the love of his eye right before his eyes and wouldn't want to be close with her. It's not as easy as Wilson is making it be.

As for the teenage boy I made unconscious, he deserves the beating, because no one has the right to ask my mate out, human or no human if I find out the person will get the beating of his life. If I can't have her then no one can have her. I said mentally stiff my growls.

Wilson, Frederick and I further discussed our initial plans, with Wilson continous nagging at me not to derail from our plan. We left the bar to our various places of work. Wilson telling me to send in my resignation letter to the school to avoid today event from reoccurring.

I finished my shift in the hospital and head straight to the forbidden forest. I have a meeting with Jasper. What I wasn't prepared for was to find someone sobbing and the person is someone I lest expect...

AUTHOR NOTE: GOD ABEG, THIS UPDATE IS LONG OVERDUE. IF IT'S NOT OVER SIX MONTHS SINCE I LAST POSTED. THIS YEAR HAVE BEEN SO BUSY FOR ME, EXPECIALLY MY SCHOOL WORK.
