"Where did you even park?" I screamed.
My lungs were tight as I ran down the street looking back in panic as I pushed myself to run faster trying to find that stupid pink buggie of his but somehow the most bright pink car was nowhere to be seen.
"WE SERIOUSLY HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT RIGHT NOW" Jack screamed back running past me with those short legs of his ducking down when a shot was fired.
While he went towards the floor, I shrieked dodging to the left nailing a couple of trash cans as I tripped up as I tried to protect my body from the bullets as I cursed myself for thinking that today would be normal for me. Yes, I thought that simply strolling in my sister old apartment like I once did would be okay but I was very wrong so fucking wrong...
Since word that her body wasn't burried 6 feet deep into the floor every know group associated to very bad things were hunting her down like wolves, not that it wasn't fair -it's just that since I am a blood relative my neck is precious to them thinking she'll show up afterwards if they put me up as ransom. Which isn't a bad idea since I am hunting her down to actually see her face to face.
I was denying that she was alive, that the memories engraved in my mind were real that those thing that happened to me weren't just a cover up for something so cruel. That she- that my own sister wouldn't put that type of trauma on me.
But I was shown so many times how cruel she was.
"Shit shit shit" I chanted while I pulled out the piece Jack had given me a few hours before in case we ran into someone, but we ran into 4 people who are currently chasing us. "I fucking hate guns, oh my GOD-" I let out a startled scream when my own gun fired at a car causing the alerm to go off and one of the guys behind me to jump in surprise.
My eyes were wide as I held the gun like a bag of shit seeing that the safety was not off like I had thought I put it on.
"DID YOU REALLY WALK THE WHOLE TIME WITH THE SAFETY OFF?" Jack yelled jumping on a car as aiming his own gun at the guys shooting with precision, hitting one in the arm and the other right on the neck "WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT GUN SAFETY!"
