We pulled into the woods and just as we pulled the turn out eyes went wide in horror.
I believe it was spray paint...or that's what I hoped...
It said:
We know Maddie, watch your back...
The windows were shattered and the lawn had been trashed.
I gasped in horror and fell to my knees, Ashton was shaking in anger but helped me up. There was a note on the door, we both got out and he read it without showing me.
"That bastard...." Ashton snarled.
"What's wrong?..." I asked with tears in my eyes.
"You'd better read this Maddie.....it's for you...." Ashton handed me the letter and looked away.
I grabbed it and began reading out loud ,
Dearest Sister,

Father is dead. The beta killed him, I know you're the alpha of that pack. Father told me the truth about mother...that explains why you were better at everything than I was...I guess you already know and mother told you somehow. I promised father I wouldn't come after you...it was his last dying wish..but I didn't promise I wouldn't come after your child...yes Maddie we know you are having a child...watch your back..
Btw, the writing on your home...it's father's blood.

I fell to my knees and covered my eyes as I cried.
"A-Ashton...it's all my fault!!! Just kill me and get it over with!!!" I sobbed.
He grabbed ahold of me and pulled me into his arms.
"Never...I promised you I wouldn't...I'll never break that promise...you're no longer a hunter....my dear Maddie" he smiled and hugged me tight.
I hugged him tight to, I loved him very much...our love grew stronger every day...
We went inside and started cleaning up.
